The invention concerns a method and a device for producing a friction-free expansion inside a cylindrical part (7), which consists in providing an annular expanding form (1) provided with sectors (2-5), in inserting into annular form a spacing tool (12) and, by spacing apart the sectors from one another, in producing an expansion of a part to be formed. Preferably, during the expanding process, the spacing apart of the sectors is guided (35, 37) so that the latter maintain their radial orientation. Thus, the inventive method is not only simplified, but better repeatability of the manufacturing process is achieved as well.

In order to produce more easily a resilient bushing comprising two rigid members enclosing a flexible sleeve, par example made of elastomer, the method consists in: inserting of a helical core between the rigid members before injecting a material to be polymerized; removing the core when stripping. Thus such bushings can be industrially produced. By filling the cavity with a liquid, a damper can be produced instead of only a resilient bushing.
