    摘要: A reverse-conducting GTO thyristor comprises a gate turn-off thyristor and a diode which are formed on a single semi-conductor substrate so as to have a common layer and be connected electrically in an inverse-parallel connection. A power converter is composed of a plurality of pairs (21,22;23,24;25,26) of these reverse-conducting GTO thyristors connected in series, each pair ofthyristors being controlled so that they are turned on and off in opposite phases. An OFF gate pulse for one of each pair of thyristors continues from a time on or after the generation of an ON gate pulse for the other thyristor to the time when a recovery current flowing through the diode portion of the first thyristor is extinguished. The thus-extended OFF gate pulse functions to prevent any displacement current flowing through the GTO portion of the first thyristor during the recovery time for the diode portion thereof.

    摘要: A semiconductor switch device suitable for a.c. power control includesthree4-layer switch components in parallel in a single body of semiconductor material. First and second components are of the same polarity and of opposite polarity to the third component. One end connection of the second component is taken out as a secondary gate connection separate from the corresponding connections of the first and third components. In a preferred mode of use, the secondary gate connection is maintained at a d.c. potential relative to the corresponding connections of the first and third components so as to enable the second component to be conducting during the zero crossings of the a.c. supply and able to maintain the internal voltages required for conduction of either or both of the other components. Circuits are given for integrated circuits embodying the device to permit zero voltage switching power controllers to be made with few external components, and for a proportional controller providing a variable mark-to-space ratio in dependence upon a variable resistor.

    摘要: An apparatus for driving a thyristor in an alternating-current power grid includes a non-isolated power supply circuit and a throttling circuit. One terminal of a power supply input of the non-isolated power supply circuit is connected to a first terminal of the thyristor. The other terminal of the power supply input is connected to another phase of the power supply relative to the first terminal or a neutral lead. The non-isolated power supply circuit forms a signal trigger loop through the throttling circuit, a second terminal of the thyristor and the first terminal of the thyristor. A control terminal of the throttling circuit is connected to a third terminal of the thyristor. The apparatus of the present invention has advantages of occupying a small space and having a simple circuit, a great instantaneous triggering current, a high cost effectiveness, and a low power consumption.

    摘要: A power supply control system is proposed for controlling the supply of power from an alternating current (AC) power source to a load. A triac (T1) in series with the load is controlled by a controller (11), typically an MCU, coupled to the gate terminal of the triac via a rectifier unit comprising at least one rectifier (B1). The rectifier unit transmits a control signal from the controller to the triac, and additionally generates a power signal for powering the controller. Thus, advantageously, a common path can be used for triggering the triac, and powering the controller, so that no sophisticated power supply is required for the controller. This both reduces cost and increase reliability. A capacitive network (ZL, ZH) is provided in parallel with the triac, and electrically connected to an input of the rectifier unit. Optionally, the triac may be additionally triggered in the case of a power surge superimposed on the AC power source, to divert the power surge away from vulnerable components.
