摘要： A transverse fan assembly comprising a cut-off construction (11), including for use with agricultural combine harvesters, to permit the transverse fan assembly to be operated to provide increased air flow volume at a lower rotational fan speed, which cut-off construction (11) includes generally planar inner surfaces (306, 308) on first and second body portions (302, 304) that are positioned laterally to one another along the top of the output throat (79) of the air plenum (44) of the transverse fan assembly between the outer periphery of the fan (42) and a baffle construction (76) of the transverse fan (42), such that the inner surface of the first body portion (302) is disposed at a cut-off inclination angle α, dependent upon certain parameters of the fan (42), and the inner surfaces of the first and second body portions (302, 304) intersect with one another in such a way that an upper wall (77) for the output throat (79) is formed by the cut-off construction (11) and by the baffle construction (76) of the fan assembly, which upper wall (77) has a concavity formed therein and therealong near the outer periphery of the fan (42) that effects a shift of the steering vortex of the fan (42) in such a way as to permit the fan (42) to operate with increased air flow volume at lower rotational fan speed.

摘要： A cleaning shoe for an agricultural machine includes a chaffer supported for movement relative to a chassis, a sieve positioned below the chaffer and supported for movement relative to the chassis. The cleaning shoe also includes a first link, a second link, and a drive shaft. The first link includes a first end and a second end coupled to the chaffer. The second link includes a first end and a second end coupled to the sieve. The drive shaft rotates about a shaft axis and includes a first cam and a second cam. The first cam is coupled to the first end of the first link, and the second cam is coupled to the first end of the second link. Rotation of the drive shaft drives the first link to reciprocate the chaffer and drives the second link to reciprocate the sieve. The second cam is angularly offset relative to the first cam by a phase angle less than 180 degrees about the shaft axis.

The preparation means comprises multiple preparation stages, each of said stages being configured to transport said mixture over a given distance between a front edge and a rear edge of the stage, with an air gap (7) being present between each pair of consecutive stages. The preparation means further comprises a blower means (15) that is separate from the main blower (10), said blower means being configured to direct an air stream or air blasts towards at least one of said air gaps (7), to thereby blow at least a portion of said mixture towards the rear of the combine harvester. The preparation means comprises a plate (5) provided with fins (6) mounted transversally with respect to the longitudinal direction of the harvester, each fin (6) representing one of said preparation stages, the plate (5) further comprising one or more openings (8) between at least one pair of consecutive fins, said opening(s) being suitable for allowing the passage of an air stream produced by the separate blower means (15), and directed towards the gap (7) between the pair of consecutive fins (6).
