The method includes: after receiving a request of registering a temporary dispatcher sent by a user, an anchor mobile switching centre initiating a registration request, which includes a group call reference number and a registration number required to be registered by the user, to a group call register; after receiving a group call message related to the group call reference number, the anchor mobile switching centre using the temporary dispatcher's number registered by the group call register to establish a call to the group call corresponding to the group call reference number. With the present invention, it enables a service subscriber who does not support call forwarding and a dispatcher who is in abnormal conditions of power failure or entering a blind zone to continue to participate in corresponding group calls.

By using the detach configuration, the device can autonomously perform an implicit detach operation thus terminating a communication link between the device and the other device. Optionally, when the detach configuration includes an explicit detach mode, the device transmits an indicating signal indicating the detach operation. The indicating signal transmitted by the device may comprise a DETACH REQUEST message. Preferably the device can store the configuring information and can store program information, and can perform the detach operation by using the stored program information and the stored configuring information.

A cellular mobile network allows a user equipment to connect to the network, the user equipment having a subscription for using the network to send data intermittently and to disconnect temporarily from the network automatically between its data transmissions. Parameters relating to the automated temporary disconnections are communicated, and data is sent from the user equipment while the user equipment is connected. The automated temporary disconnections and reconnections are detected by the network. By allowing user equipments which automatically disconnect temporarily between their data transmissions, the network need no longer provision for all such user equipments to be connected to the network simultaneously. Thus more such user equipments can be accepted as subscribers. By communicating with the user equipment about the temporary automated disconnections from the network, the network can have some control of, or at least be made aware of, the temporary automated disconnections.
