Such a diffuser has an elongate diffuser body (280) with a gas supply channel and a support member (285) on which a flexible membrane (298) is mounted. Each longitudinal edge of the membrane is held in a groove (295) in the diffuser body by means of one or more locking or jamming members (300). This holds the membrane in place, and with the support member, at least when the diffuser is operating, defines a gas chamber from which gas passes through the membrane. The locking or jamming members may be held in place by a flange extending over the groove, or by engagement of the locking or jamming member with the membrane and compressing the membrane against the groove sidewalls (297).

The second synchronizer, operating with a fast clock, is configured to receive a feedback signal from the first synchronizer for acknowledging synchronization of the output signal to the input signal.

The array of receivers is organized into a plurality of measurement areas covering widely separated areas of the facility or different buildings of the facility, and the plurality of receivers of a measurement area is organized into a plurality of measurement groups covering areas of approximately uniform RF propagation conditions. Each receiver scans a frequency band of interest non-synchronously and independently of the other receivers in the array. Also, each receiver is preferably a direct-conversion receiver.

A bayonet electrical connector has a spring loaded safety pin for locking the bayonet coupling. The pin projects finto a recess, and a sleeve surrounds the part having the recess. The sleeve has a tab which projects finto the recess, the sleeve being slidable to make the tab depress the pin against the spring bias of the pin, thereby to enable subsequent disconnection of the bayonet coupling. This design maintains a locking mechanism to prevent accidental decoupling of the bayonet connection, but makes the decoupling process simpler, by using sliding of the sleeve and twisting to release the bayonet coupling.
