摘要: A stroller includes armrests (3), rear legs (1) pivotally joined to the armrests (3), respectively, a handle (5) pivotally joined to the armrests (3), and brackets (4) connecting the handle (5) and the rear legs (1). The brackets (4) engage with locking members (6) mounted on lower end parts of side pipes of the handle (5). Holding members (10) are supported on sides of the side pipes opposite to sides of the same with which the brackets (4) are in contact of the side pipes by pins (70), respectively. When the stroller is folded in two, the stopping parts (6b) of the locking members (6) and the stopping parts (10a) of the holding members (10) are engaged, respectively.

摘要: A booster seat has a seat member (14) and armrests (12a, 13a). The distance between the armrests (12a, 13a) can be automatically changed according to the height of the support portion (14a) of the seat member (14). The armrests (12a, 13a) are formed on side members (12, 13) extended on the opposite sides of the support portion (14a) of the seat member 14 on a base (11) mounted on a seat of a vehicle. A plurality of tapered, wedge-shaped blocks (17, 18) are arranged on the inner side surfaces of the side members (12, 13) so as to extend toward a middle portion of the support portion (14a). The wedge-shaped blocks (17, 18) extend from the inner side surfaces of the side members (12, 13) toward each other. The wedge-shaped blocks (17, 18) have sloping upper surfaces (17a, 18a). The seat member 14 is placed on the upper surfaces (17a, 18a) of the wedge-shaped blocks (17, 18). A bottom portion of the seat member (14) facing the wedge-shaped blocks (17, 18) has a V-shaped bottom surface (14b) corresponding to the upper surfaces (17a, 18a). When the side members (12, 13) and the wedge-shaped blocks (17, 18) are moved on the base (11) in directions along the width of the support portion (14a), the seat member (14) is moved vertically relative to the base (11) by the cooperative action of the upper surfaces (17a, 18a) of the wedge-shaped blocks (17, 18) and the bottom surface (14b) of the seat member (14) and, at the same time, the distance between the armrests (12a, 13a) is adjusted.

摘要: An upper end portion of the front leg 13 is connected with a front portion of the armrest member 21 by means of the hinge 23, and an upper end portion of the rear leg 25 is connected with a center with respect to the longitudinal direction of the armrest member 21 by means of a hinge. A center with respect to the vertical direction of the push rod 9 is connected with a rear portion of the armrest member 21 by means of the hinge 27. A lower end portion of the push rod 9 is connected with an upper end portion of the rotary member 29 by means of the hinge 31. A lower end portion of the rotary member 29 is connected with the rear leg 25 by means of the hinge 33. The other end portion of the connecting member 35 connected with the front leg 13 by means of the hinge 37 is connected with a substantial center of the rotary member 29 by means of the hinge 39.

摘要: A collapsible baby buggy includes, as principal elements, front legs (2) rear legs (3) arm rest members (4), push bars (5) and side bars (6) which are symmetrical in relation to the longitudinal direction of the baby buggy. These side members (6) are folded up longitudinally without a change in their width. A tension spring (12) and a compression spring (13) are arranged in series in the longitudinal direction of a rear leg (3). A slider (7) is hinged to the side bars (6) and is movable up and down in the longitudinal direction of the rear leg (3). A pedal frame (9) is movable up and down in the longitudinal direction of the rear leg. The tension spring (12) is fixed between the slider and the pedal frame, whereas the compression spring (13) is sandwiched between the pedal frame and a bottom member of the rear leg. The slider and the pedal frame are releasable locked at both upper and lower stop positions. The slider is moved up and down by virtue of the restoring forces stored in the tension spring and the compression spring. As a result, the side members are folded up and unfolded.

摘要: A method of measuring physical strength of a subject and an apparatus therefor in which the maximum oxygen uptake based on 75% of the estimated maximum heart rate as a reference is estimated to thereby evaluate physical strength based on the oxygen uptake during exercise. The oxygen uptake is used as an index for evaluating physical strength, and VO2@75%HRmax, which is oxygen uptake measured at 75% of estimated maximum heart rate, is used as a reference so that comparison can be made safely with a measured value even for middle and high ages. The apparatus is provided with a load device (3) which can give a ramp load to a subject (e.g. 15 W/min to male and 10 W/min to female), a pulse rate detecting device (2,13) which can measure pulse rate successively in the duration in which the load is given to the subject, and a device (10) for averaging the measured pulse rate and the value of the given load over small time periods, subjecting the value of the pulse rate relative to the value of the load to straight line regression, and calculating the slope A and offset B of the resulting straight line.
