摘要: A foamable organic composition comprising a compound foamable to 50% or more comprising an organic polymer and a chemical foaming agent, and, as a physical foaming agent, at least one member selected from the group consisting of rare gases and carbon dioxide; and a method for producing a foamed article having a high expansion ratio by using said composition. According to the present invention, a foamed article having a uniform and fine foam structure and a high expansion ratio of not less than 75% (which is as high as when freon gas is used) can be obtained without causing environmental problems such as depletion of the ozon layer. When applied, in particular, to a foamed layer for an insulated conductor, such as foam-insulated electric wire which is required to have high performance insulation and is occasionally installed under severe conditions, the composition of the present invention advantageously provides an insulated conductor with no potential buckling.

摘要: A tubular guide body (1) provided with a longitudinal slit portion (9) has a flexible screw (2) rotatably incorporated. A guiding portion (P) of a transporting object (R) is brought into contact with the flexible screw through the slit portion. The flexible screw is rotated to exert forcing pressure upon the guiding portion of the transporting object which is in contact with the flexible screw, thereby achieving the conveyance of the transporting object in the longitudinal direction of the tubular guide body.

摘要: In an electric connector including a first connector half having a plurality of terminals, a second connector half having a plurality of corresponding terminals and a pair of leaf springs secured to opposite side walls of the first connector half for detachably coupling said first and second connector halves with each other, each of said leaf spring has formed integrally therewith fitting portion, bent portion, unlocking portion, intermediate portion, end portion in which a locking aperture is formed, and reinforcing portion having one end connected to a junction between the bent portion and the unlocking portion. The fitting portion is secured to the first connector half and the other end of said reinforcing portion is resiliently urged against a side wall of the first connector half. When the second connector half is inserted into the first connector half to connect said terminals with each other, a locking projection formed on a side wall of the second connector half is inserted into the locking aperture to attain a locking condition of the first and second connector halves. When the unlocking portion of the leaf spring is pushed toward the side wall of the first connector half, the end portion is moved away from the side wall of the second connector half such that the locking projection is removed from the locking aperture to release the locking condition. The reinforcing portion increases the resiliency of the leaf spring to prevent an accidental unlocking and to insure a positive displacement of the end portion upon unlocking.

摘要: A catheter provided with a torque transmission portion having rigidity sufficient enough to transmit a torque and a flexible portion made of a material having a glass transition point that provides rigidity before insertion but flexibility after insertion. The torque transmission portion can transmit torque before, during and after the insertion. The flexible portion has suitable rigidity before and during the insertion and can be inserted easily but, after being inserted, its flexibility is increased by a body temperature and hardly damages the inner wall of an inserted tube. Furthermore, the torque transmission portion may have a reinforcing structure formed by winding or knitting linear metallic wires (particularly, flat rectangular lines) in a coil form in order to transmit torque. The catheter having various functions and structures can be produced easily by injecting molding or the like.

摘要: An EL lamp comprises an EL light emitting part and a connector part which is connected to both electrodes of the EL light emitting part and is formed so as to be attachable to and detachable from a power supply outlet, and is a flat-plate-shaped EL lamp having a reinforcement to give the EL lamp a mechanical tolerance endurable against the bending load applied in attaching and detaching the EL lamp to and from the outlet in a repeated manner, in a case where a portion of the EL lamp reinforced with said reinforcement is held by human fingers for attaching and detaching. Accordingly, the EL lamp in accordance with the present invention has quite new effects having not been obtained in the conventional EL lamps such that it is never broken heavily by an external force, can be used as a portable set, and is endurable enough against frequent attaching and detaching to and from the power supply outlet. In the using method of the present invention, an EL lamp is used together with a means capable of changing the illuminating direction of the EL lamp freely in desired directions, which brings about a comfortable use of the EL lamp. Specifically, it is extremely convenient if the EL lamp of the present invention is used for an automobile having an power supply outlet possessing an opening part with which a connector part of the EL lamp is engaged.
