A manufacturing method of a seat element (1; 101) is disclosed, comprising a body (2) obtained from moulding polyolefin plastic materials of expandable and reticulable type, and a template (3; 103) made of rigid material, which is coupled with the body (2) when it is still hot, in such a way to control the shrinking of the material of the body during cooling.

A seat (10) has a sitting surface (12) with upholstery (11) having lateral supporting cushioning for the user. The seat includes a frame (14) stabilising it, the side sections (14a) of which project into the side cushioning (13). On at least one cross-member (14b) connecting the side sections (14a) of the frame (14), an additional stiffener (15) stiffening at least the central region of the cross-member (14b) can be secured by at least two connectors movable along the cross-member.

Une chaise possède un dossier (2), un siège réglable (3) et des dispositifs de support réglables (5, 6) reliés au dossier. Le dossier renferme un cadre (16) qui supporte un coussin en mousse synthétique (30). Le cadre (16) est noyé dans la mousse synthétique (30) qui a été injectée tout autour du cadre. Le dossier (2) de cette chaise est ferme, et facile à produire.
Abstract:
In order to provide a cushioning structure which is aesthetically appealing and which is comparable in comfort to a feather filled cushion the invention provides a flexible foam casing (1) within which is accommodated a stockinette bag (15) containing shredded or crumbed flexible foam pieces (17). Preferably the inner faces (11,13) of the foam casing (1) are profiled in the form of fingers.
