    摘要： The invention relates to a chair having a seat structure formed by a frame member that defines a central opening. A flexible membrane extends across the central opening. A pair of support pads, one disposed on either side of the cross-beam member, is provided and arranged at a level below the central opening of the frame member. The support pads are arranged within the seat structure so as to be rearwardly disposed with respect to the front edge of the frame by a first distance and spaced apart from each other by a second distance, the first and second distances generally corresponding to the positioning of the ischicial tuberosity of a user when the user assumes a seated position engaging the seat structure.

The end portions 42, 43 of the belt-shaped support member 40 for seat cushion connected to the front portion of the seat cushion frame 20 work as a fulcrum for supporting a portion from the waist to the vicinity of the pelvis of a seated person, and an upper portion of the surface cushion layer 60 supported on the upper portion of the seat back frame 10 works as a fulcrum for supporting a portion from the femoral region to the vicinity of the hip of the seated person.

    摘要： Various methods for installing an article of fabric to a frame to provide an improved seating product, which can be integrated in essentially any type of seating unit, are provided. These methods include a pre-forming operation that deforms the frame prior to securing the fabric article thereto, and a securing operation that leverages post-mold shrinkage properties of the frame to secure the fabric article thereto. The pre-forming operation generates tension in the fabric article, which spans the frame, by initially deforming the frame utilizing compression mechanisms of an assembly fixture and subsequently loading the fabric article to the frame in a loose condition. Upon releasing the compression mechanisms, the fabric article assumes a taut condition that expresses the tension. The securing operation involves inserting a segment of the fabric article into a groove in the frame and allowing the groove to naturally clamp the segment during post-mold shrinkage.
