A guide arrangement (82) is provided that coacts with the supplemental rear frame (44) and the main frame (12) whereby the main frame is in a first position. The back portion, seat portion and leg portion are arranged so that they are in different planes and when the main frame is in a second position, the back portion, seat portion and leg portion are arranged so that they are in a gurney position.

The sheet (80) is adapted to be positioned onto the patient supporting member of the bed (10) or stretcher (30). The conveyor (40) includes a roller (42) supported by bearings (44). The roller (42) can also be removably received by the bearings (44). The roller (42) can include a telescopic arrangement so that its length can be adjusted. A pawl and ratchet assembly (640) can be provided on the conveyor (40) to prevent unwinding of the conveyor (40). The sheet (80) is removably attached to the roller (42) by adhesive tape or a clip arrangement. A flexible belt (206) attaches the clip (202) to the conveyor (40) and is removably secured to the roller (42). The clip (202) includes a body member (210) having a recess (222) with a plug (212) received therein.

A limb holder generally includes a limb holder assembly, a sled or yoke assembly, a pylon and support bar assembly, a clamp assembly, and a retractor assembly. A limb, such as a leg, is supported by the limb holder. The limb holder is supported by a sled which can move along a support bar that is supported by virtue of a mounting pylon. The mounting pylon is fixed in place by a clamp assembly, the clamp assembly being attached directly to a bed, table, or other patient support. The limb holder can also receive one or more retractor assemblies capable of retracting an incision, such that a user may manipulate a patient's limb during a procedure in which the use of retractors is desired.

Le système de verrouillage (1, 12, 13 ; 40-45) comprend des premiers moyens de verrouillage (1, 12, 13) portés par le respirateur (10), et des seconds moyens de verrouillage (40-45) portés par l'embase (20) de manière à permettre une fixation solidaire en position de verrouillage du respirateur (10) à l'embase (20). Un système de connexion électrique (51-55) permet d'assurer une connexion électrique entre le respirateur (1) et l'embase (20). Les premiers moyens de verrouillage (1, 12, 13) comprennent une butée (13). Les seconds moyens de verrouillage (40-45) comprennent un cliquet pivotant (40).
