Les deux éléments de déplacements opposés avec leur disositif de commande électromagnétique respectif sont disposés de façon que le moment du premier outil avec ses parties mobiles connexes soit pratiquement égal, à l'instant de l'impact, au moment du deuxième outil avec ses parties mobiles de sorte que les impulsions égales et opposées résultant de chaque moment s'annulent pratiquement. Grâce à ce mouvement opposé avec des moments qui s'équilibrent lors de l'impact, très peu d'énergie ou de travail est gaspillé et perdu sur une plate-forme ou un autre support de la presse de perforation, et seuls un choc et des vibrations mécaniques insignifiants ou de trés faible intensité sont induits dans la plate-forme ou tout autre support. Ainsi, très peu de bruit est transmis dans l'environnement par l'intermédiaire de la plate-forme ou tout autre support. Le matériau est acheminé dans la région située entre le premier et le deuxième outil par un mécanisme d'acheminement qui peut aussi être déplacé dans les deux directions. On décrit divers arrangements servant à positionner correctement la plaque d'acheminement entre les outils opposés et à commander leurs dispositifs électromagnétiques afin d'obtenir un impact virtuellement simultané des outils avec des moments sensiblement égaux contre les côtés opposés du matériau devant être formé entre les outils.

    摘要: A stamping and forming machine has first (4) and second tooling assemblies which are movable relatively towards and away from each other. Pilot pins (12), are mounted on, and moved with, the first tooling assembly (4). The pilot pins enter pilot holes in the strip material and are movable on the first tooling (4) assembly between extended oositions and retracted positions. When the tooling assemblies are in their open, or separated, positions, the pilot pins (12) are in their retracted positions and clearance is provided to permit feeding of the strip between the two tooling assemblies. As the tooling assemblies move to their closed positions, the pilot pins move to their extended positions and perform their piloting function. The pilot pins are moved by a lever (24) which is pivoted to the first tooling assembly and to the pilot pins.

The cam (2) includes sections for enabling energy to be accumulated in the elastically deformable member (9) and for release of the energy therefrom over a shorter time period than the energy accumulating time period through the medium of the quaternary lever (3) operating as a functional force-varying member. The apparatus includes provision for effecting powered variation of the angle between the semirods (10, 13) independently of displacement which may be imparted to the unit (14, 18).
