    摘要: A novel epoxy compound represented by the following formula and a method for producing the same are provided: wherein R 1 and R 2 are members selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alicyclic hydrocarbon group having 3 to 6 carbon atoms, aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, halogen atom, ether group, ester group, acyl group and nitro group, n is an integer of 1 to 4, and m is an integer of 1 to 5. A high-performance cured epoxy resin that is high in strength, elastic modulus, adhesiveness, toughness, heat resistance, weather resistance, solvent resistance, impact resistance, and so on can be obtained by curing the epoxy compound of the present invention with a curing agent.

    摘要: This invention provides a novel phosphatized polymeric product which is formed by: (a) forming an amine-extended resinous composition having unreacted epoxy groups by mixing, under free-radical initiated polymerization conditions, a polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated monomeric component and a polyepoxide component; and (b) phosphatizing at least a portion of the unreacted epoxy groups of the resinous composition. The present invention also provides novel coating compositions containing the aforedescribed polymeric product. While these novel coating compositions have a number of different uses, they are particularly useful for application to metal substrates such as can end stock since they result in a cured film which has excellent performance properties such as flexibility and extensibility, adhesion, resistance to boiling liquid pack tests and boiling water taste test results.

    摘要: The invention relates to hardenable resins which are self-dispersible in water and to a method for producing them. The inventive epoxide resins are special compounds which can be obtained by reacting the following: (a) 1.0 equivalent of epoxide resin, (b) 0.01-1.0 equivalent of a polyfunctional phenol and (c) 0.005-0.5 equivalent of an amine-epoxide adduct, the amine-epoxide adduct (c) representing a reaction product of an aromatic polyepoxide with a polyoxyalkyleneamine. The invention is characterised in that the compounds used to produce the amine-epoxide adduct (c), i.e. the aromatic polyepoxide and the polyoxyalkyleneamine, are used according to an equivalent ratio of 1:0.10 to 1:0.28.
