The aim of the invention is to obtain prepregs on the basis of duroplastic, oleochemical matrices that can be stored at room temperature. To this end, a fiber material that preferably contains natural fibers is contacted with a matrix material at temperatures of 40 to 80 °C in the presence of a suitable catalyst and the fiber material impregnated with the matrix is cooled to temperatures of 30 °C and less. The matrix material is chosen from a fatty substance with at least 12 C atoms that contains epoxide and/or hydroxyl groups, a cross-linking agent and a catalyst, and the matrix material has a Brookfield viscosity of 600 to 1400 MPa at temperatures of 40 to 80 °C.

The invention relates to a method for production of radically post-cured polymers. In a first stage, at least one, or several compounds (a), which are the reaction products of epoxidised fatty acid esters and /or epoxidised triglycerides with acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid, are converted into the corresponding polyurethane (a*) and said polyurethane (a*) is subsequently radically post-cured, in a second stage, in the presence of at least one radical initiator (b), with the additional proviso that, in the second stage, a combination of compounds (a*) with one or several compounds (c) are used, where the compounds (c) are chosen from the group of the reactive anhydrides. The polymers thus obtained are excellent matrix agents for composite materials.

The inventive epoxide resins are special compounds which can be obtained by reacting the following: (a) 1.0 equivalent of epoxide resin, (b) 0.01-1.0 equivalent of a polyfunctional phenol and (c) 0.005-0.5 equivalent of an amine-epoxide adduct, the amine-epoxide adduct (c) representing a reaction product of an aromatic polyepoxide with a polyoxyalkyleneamine. The invention is characterised in that the compounds used to produce the amine-epoxide adduct (c), i.e. the aromatic polyepoxide and the polyoxyalkyleneamine, are used according to an equivalent ratio of 1:0.10 to 1:0.28.

The invention relates to the use of fatty (meth)acrylates for dispersing pigments. The fatty (meth)acrylates are obtained by reacting epoxidized fatty acid esters and/or epoxidized triglycerides with acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid. The invention relates to coating compositions comprising A) 5.0 to 50.0 % by weight of epoxy resins that are the reaction products of bisphenol A and/or bisphenol F with epichlorohydrin, B) 5.0 to 55.0 % by weight of an epoxy resin curing agent that can be diluted in water, C) 0.1 to 10.0 % by weight of fibers, D) 0 or 0.1 to 5.0 % by weight of a wax-based open time extender, E) 0 or 0.1 to 5.0 % by weight of rheological additives, F) 5.0 to 70 % by weight of fillers, G) 0 or 0.1 to 20.0 % by weight of water and H) 0 to 70 % by weight of other additives and/or processing agents, the sum of the weight percentages of components A) to H) adding up to 100 % by weight of. The compositions according to the invention are especially suitable for use in equilibration and insulating compounds.
