The pivot pins (58, 59) on the locking link (52) are positioned so that when the locking handle (54) is moved to a locked position, the line between the axes of the pivot pins (58, 59) on the locking link (52) goes over center with respect to the pivot axis of the first pivot (66) of the locking handle, and a hook end (60) of the locking link latches onto a locking projection (66) on the upright arm (50). The mounting frame (40) is held in a fixed position relative to the lift arm (24).

The machine as disclosed may be mounted on a host machine such as an excavator or the like via a hook up arrangement connected to or part of a first member of the rotary cutter. A second member is adapted to carry the cutting drums and is connected to the first member. Zur Erweiterung dieser modularen Bauweise ist ein Verlängerungsträger (46) vorgesehen, der einen weiteren Gegenflansch (48) und einen weiteren Befestigungsflansch (50) enthält. Durch Einsetzen des Verlängerungsträgers (46) zwischen Frontstück (18) und Trägeranordnung (16), wird der Ausleger (14) zur Anpassung an spezielle Betriebserfordernisse verlängerbar.
