    摘要: The invention relates to a starting device (100) for a spark ignition engine (10) with direct fuel injection, in which, in a normal operation mode, the fuel is drawn from a fuel tank (21) by a fuel pump (22), which is mechanically driven by the engine, and is injected under pressure via a fuel injector (14) into a cylinder (11) of the spark ignition engine (10) which beforehand was filled with air drawn via an air inlet channel (19). The operation of said device is made more effective by the provision of first means (18) by means of which the fuel can be injected into the air inlet channel (19). In addition, the first means (18) are connected to the outlet of the fuel pump (22) via a branch duct (16). Second means (17) are also provided which are arranged in the branch duct (16) and which open and close the branch duct (16) according to the operational phase of the spark ignition engine (10).

    摘要: With prior art two-stroke fuel-injection systems, which inject the fuel directly into the combustion chamber by means of a fuel-injection valve, the engine operating parameters which affect the amount of fuel delivered by the fuel-injection pump can only be modified with difficulty and this requires additional equipment to be fitted. The fuel-injection system (1) proposed for a two-stroke engine (4) has a fuel-injection pump (2) with an adjustment device (90) to which the pulsating pressure in the interior (10) of the engine crankcase (11) is fed through an impulse pressure line (100) in order to meter the amount of fuel delivered by the pump in dependence on the pressure in the crankcase, thus ensuring that the optimum amount of fuel is delivered for combustion and hence reducing the exhaust-gas emission and fuel consumption of the engine. This fuel injection system is intended for use in two-stroke internal-combustion engines.

    摘要: In a two-way utility internal combustion engine, method and apparatus employing an accumulator-type fuel injector having an accumulator cavity and a control cavity both of which are pressurized with fuel to about the same pressure, fuel pressure in the accumulator cavity applying upward force on the needle, and fuel pressure in the control cavity applying opposing downward force on the needle. The accumulator and control cavities are pressurized by means of a reciprocating plunger pump wherein the plunger is driven by cam lobe means on the crankshaft, and injection is initiated by venting fuel from said control cavity through a two-way solenoid valve. Injection mass is varied by variation of the ignition timing relative to pump plunger top dead center. Engine power output is varied between full power and idle by skip-firing, which is caused by noninjection of fuel in the engine cylinder during one or more engine crankshaft cycles during a series of a predetermined number of crankshaft cycles.

    摘要: A two cycle internal combustion engine is provided with a fuel system including a low pressure fuel pump (204) and solenoid valve (206) supplying and metering fuel to the engine crankcase through a fuel line, without a carburetor, without a high pressure fuel pump, without high pressure fuel injectors, and without a constant fuel pressure regulator. The system senses the amount of combustion air supplied to the engine, and senses fuel flow velocity using a restriction orifice in the fuel line producing a fuel pressure drop indicating fuel flow velocity. A conduit is connected between the crankcase at a transfer passage and the fuel line downstream of the restriction orifice and passes warm pressurized air-fuel mixture from the crankcase through the transfer passage to the fuel line to improve fuel atomization.
