In the clamping position, the collar (46) is axially supported against heels (49, 50) of the saw blade (22) and thus pushes the saw blade clamping end (25) against the lower front face of the reciprocating rod (18) or against an elastic separator (22). In order to obtain a piercing saw machine (10) that is easier and safer to use, locking means are provided for retaining the clamping sleeve (40) in relation to the reciprocating rod (18) in the saw blade (22) releasing position. When the saw blade (22) is set in and moved in its clamped position, the locking means release again the clamping sleeve (40).

The inventive boring head is characterised in that the means (4) for clamping the drilling tool (3) in the radial piston (2) of the body (1) is embodied in the form of a screwing device (10) provided with a movable pin (11) loaded by a spring (12) and the means for guiding and clamping the radial piston (2) in the adjusting position is embodied in the form of an indirect clamping means for radially guiding and clamping.
