Le résonateur opto-mécanique (100) selon l'invention offre des taux de couplage optique bien supérieurs à ceux des dispositifs de l'art antérieur.

The present invention concerns a method for working out the angular position of a rotating element which is mounted in a fixed frame, consisting in using at least one light source emitting a beam of light in the direction of a fixed sensor and using computing means for processing an output signal of the sensor, characterized in that it consists in: - a) arranging the light source with respect to the rotating element and of the sensor in a way so as to induce an interaction between the beam of light and the sensor which depends on the angular position of the rotating shaft, - b) arranging on the path of the beam of light, in a fixed position with respect to the sensor, a perforated mask which presents a repetitive pattern of perforations, - c) detecting shadows generated by the mask on the sensor, - d) processing the output signal of the sensor for determining the position of the shadows on the sensor, - e) and computing the angular position of the rotating element by using the position of the shadows.

Um eine erhöhte Messgenauigkeit und eine kostengünstige Herstellung eines Winkelmesssystems zu gewährleisten, wird ein Winkelmesssystem (10) zum Bestimmen eines Drehwinkels (ϕi) einer drehenden Welle (W) zur Verfügung gestellt, umfassend einen Lichtsender (1) zum Aussenden eines Lichtstrahls (1a), einen transparenten Modulator (2) zum Modulieren des ausgesendeten und durch den Modulator (2) durchgehenden Lichtstrahls (1a), wobei der Modulator (2) auf der Welle (W) derart montiert ist, dass eine Normale des Modulators (2) einen Winkel (α) ungleich Null zu einer Drehachse (A) der Welle (W) aufweist, zumindest einen Empfänger (3) zum Empfangen eines auf dem Empfänger (3) bewegenden Lichtpunktes (P1,...Pi) und zum Ausgeben eines entsprechenden Empfängersignals, wobei der Empfänger (3) eine photosensitive Fläche umfasst und den auftreffenden Lichtpunkt (P1,...Pi) ortauflösend in 2-Dimensionen erfasst, und eine Auswerteeinheit zum Auswerten des Empfängersignals und zum Bestimmen des Drehwinkels (ϕi), wobei die Auswerteeinheit derart ausgebildet ist, dass die Auswerteeinheit aus einer Position des Lichtpunktes (P1,...Pi) auf dem Empfänger (3) den zugehörigen Drehwinkel (ϕi) der Welle (W) bestimmt.

The optical sensor further includes a control member (80) which provided along the characteristic light-guiding member (40), inhibits at least the twisting of the characteristic light-guiding member (40), and controls a bending state of the characteristic light-guiding member (40), and a positioning mechanism (90) which holds the characteristic light-guiding member (40) and the control member (80) and positions the characteristic changing part (50) with respect to at least a circumferential direction of the characteristic light-guiding member (40) accompanying holding.

In an example embodiment, a system detects the degree of rotation of a knob, the system comprises a shaft having a length and a first end and a second end; the second end has an oblique reflective surface defined thereon; the first end fixedly attached to the knob. Containing the shaft is a rotation body, having a receptacle to accommodate the second end of the shaft with the oblique reflective surface exposed. An integrated circuit optical module is optically coupled the rotation body and the optical module detects light irradiance profile from the oblique reflective surface. The optical module includes a solid state light source and a plurality of photo detectors which generate an electrical signal upon exposure to light. As the knob is rotated, the oblique reflective surface generates a changing asymmetric irradiance profile, the change being translated into an electrical signal via the photo detectors. The electrical signal corresponds to the degree of rotation of the knob.
