摘要: The invention relates to a method for building a harbour structure (100) communicating with a water body (28). The inventive method consists in building in the ground at least one closed-type continuous curvilinear wall comprising at least one arcuate wall segment whose intrados is oriented to the inside of the structure (100) in such a way that an arching is produced in front of the structure external side, in excavating the volume delimited by the continuous wall, in embodying at least one opening (20) in said continuous wall in such a way that said volume is enabled to communicate with the water body (28).

摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus for loading and unloading cargo at a sea-side of a ship mooring at a quay wall, thereby enabling cargo to be loaded or unloaded simultaneously at both sides of the container ship by both cargo-handling apparatuses at the sea-side and the land-side. The apparatus comprises: a barge having a mooring side corresponding to one side of the ship; a barge anchoring unit for anchoring and releasing the barge at and from a predetermined place; at least one container crane disposed on an upper surface of the barge and being movable in a longitudinal direction of the barge; and at least one drawbridge for connecting an end of the mooring side of the barge to the quay wall. The apparatus remarkably improves the cargo-handling capability of a harbor in comparison with that by the prior art. Further, the apparatus reduces the time for which a ship stays at a quay wall, thereby improving the availability of the quay wall and reducing the physical distribution cost.

摘要: The inventive arrangement of motorised floating mobile systems (7, 107, 207) for moving mooring booms (4a to 4e) for boats (B) and crafts in an inner harbours (P) in order to translationally move said booms (4a to 4e) along a trajectory perpendicular thereto in such a way that a manoeuvring space for the boats (B) and crafts is arranged between at least two adjacent booms (4, 4a to 4e), whereas the other spaces between booms are closed for manoeuvring. Each system comprises means for fixing booms or the sections thereof (5), which are disposed in a perpendicular direction to the translation direction, means (9, 10) which are arranged on the two ends of the system and enables said system to be attached to an identical system in the front thereof or to attaching means arranged on the end of a platform or the fixed boom, means for translationally guiding in a direction parallel to a berth or a main hulk with respect to a fixed bridge formed by a post or a berth (8) or a group of posts or berths driven into the bottom of the harbour and means which translationally moves the booms and are controlled by means for synchronously controlling said manoeuvres.

摘要: The invention, relates to means for absorbing, extracting or using for propulsion, wave energy occurring naturally in water. The invention overcomes existing breakwater devices of the type that were prone to puncture or were expensive to maintain, were inertial dependant or had mooring loads. One breakwater device comprises first and second structures, ( 100, 102 ) arranged substantially parallel one to another, said structures having neutral buoyancy and energy absorbers ( 111 ) mounted therebetween, whereby in use, the devices absorb energy from incident and waves as a result of relative motion between the structures. Preferably a third structure is positioned parallel to the second structure, there being a second energy absorber positioned between the second and third structures. Energy absorbers may be arranged to generate an electromotive force or pump a material or fluid. Advantageously a plurality of devices ( 206 ) can be interconnected, in the form of a chain or caterpillar to provide a breakwater system. Alternative embodiments of the invention include means to alleviate high side loads on multi-hulled vessels, and a propulsion device in which the first and second structures incorporate louver valve assemblies.

摘要: Abstract: The invention relates to a modular dike which is intended for shore protection. The inventive dike is based on a reduced number of different prismatic, tubular modules (1), (2), (3), (4), including one quadrangular-section module, two triangular-section modules and a straight trapezoidal-section module. The aforementioned modules are equipped with tongue-and-groove coupling means (5-6) for the stacking thereof and lateral fixing means (10-11), such that it is possible to produce a dike of any width, height and section. Moreover, the modules have a thickness of the order of 2.5 metres, a similar height and a length of between 6 and 12 metres. In this way, the dimensions of the modules are suitable for the standard containers that are used to transport goods by road and, more specifically, the constituent modules of the dike can be transported by road on the standard transport network used for said containers. Furthermore, the modules are provided with large lightening holes (8) and, following installation, said modules can be stabilised using, among other means, sand-filled geotextile bags (14) which are disposed therein.

摘要: A method of shore protection is provided which includes determining a required direction of travel of incoming waves to a shore or shore portion to protect the shore and locating at least one elongate reef (1) on the sea bed (2). The reef (1) is oriented at a pre-selected angle relative to an average or mode direction of travel of incoming waves (W) and having pre-selected dimensions selected to modify the direction of travel of incoming waves to the required direction after passing over the reef (1).
