Die Erfindung betrifft Verfahren sowie Einrichtungen zum Verlegen von Leitungsrohren, insbesondere von Kanalisationsrohren im Erdreich, mit mitlaufender Vortriebspresse, welche in einem Schacht angeordnet ist, in welchem die zu verlegenden Rohre nacheinander eingelegt werden, gemäß Oberbegriff der Patentansprüche 1, 2 und 9. Um hierbei zu erreichen, daß grundsätzlich in der halboffenen Bauweise verlegt, aber mit erheblich geringerem Aufwand die Seitenwände des Schachtes gesichert werden, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, daß ein gesamter Verlegeschacht mit mitlaufender Vortriebspresse geschnitten wird, indem Verbautafelelemente in Verlege-/Schneidrichtung des Schneidschuhes nach vorne mitgeschoben werden.

The feed shoe (70) is pivotably connected to the base frame (54) and is pivotable between a lowered position wherein the feed shoe (70) lies within the slot (58), and a raised position wherein the feed shoe (70) lies outside of the slot (58). The feed shoe (70) includes a jet opening (86) in a periphery (72) of the feed shoe (70), and a source of pressurized water in an interior manifold of the feed shoe (70) in communication with the jet opening (86) in the periphery (72) of the feed shoe (70). A guide (88) is operable to guide a cable into the slot (58) in contact with the feed shoe periphery (72) when the feed shoe (70) is in the lowered position. The guide (88) includes a feed horn (90) affixed to the base frame (54) with an outlet end (94) adjacent to the upper end (64) of the slot (58) and centered on the slot (58), and a pair of movable guide plates (100) disposed adjacent to the upper end of the slot (58) and centered on the slot (58). The guide plates (100) are movable between a closed position centered with a first spacing sufficiently greater than the feed shoe width to permit the feed shoe (70) to lie therebetween, and an open position having a second spacing greater than the first spacing. The cable burial tool (40) is pivotably connected to a burial sled (34).

The invention is embodied in a device, and method for excavating an underdrainage (a subterainian drain) which is capable of preserving surface vegetation such as grass in pasture in good condition and providing excellent drainage. The device 20 forms an underdrainage in the ground while being hauled by a tractor 10. The underdrainage excavating device has a discard device 40 for discarding the dirt excavated by an endless belt of excavating buckets 25 to scatter the dirt over an extended area of the ground such that the grass and pastures will not be buried and wither. Part of the dirt covers a slit space S such that any dirt entry from outside into the slit space S is prevented. The excavating device 20 also forms an underdrainage by following an inclined plane signal which projects an inclined plane at an angle to a reference horizontal plane such that said underdrainage slopes to provide excellent gravity drainage performance.

A trenching unit (12) used to cut trenches in the seabed for laying pipelines or cables. The unit comprises: a jetting arm (3) with a plurality of sections, each section having at least one nozzle; means for supplying fluid to nozzles (8) in at least two sections; and means (4) for separately controlling the flow characteristics of the fluid supplied to each individual section of the jetting arm. Two or more units of such apparatus can be used in tandem to extend the fluidisation period of a localised area of the seabed. This is particularly useful when pipes or cables are relatively stiff. The fluidisation period depends upon the distance between the units which is calculated as a function of the characteristics of the seabed and the capabilities of the individual units. The distance between the units is determined by the length of an adjustable linkage.
