摘要: A bit assembly 10 includes a base block 16 and a bit holder 14 having a forward body portion and a shank 20. The bit holder includes a diametrically expanding retainer 46 circumferentially disposed around a shank of the bit holder adapted to maintain the interference contact between the bit holder and the base block as the diameter of a bore of the base block increases from use. The bit assembly also includes a sealing gasket that forms a force fit between a washer 50 disposed about the shank of the bit holder and the base block.

摘要: A non-straight sensor array within a gravity field, within a surface and cyclically surrounding a medial axis. The sensor array is comprised of rigid bodies holding gravimetric tilt sensors, the rigid bodies being connected by flexible joints. The flexibility of the joints is constrained to two degrees of freedom. The shape of the path, the surface, and the medial axis are measured in at least two dimensions, using the tilt sensor data and the geometrical constraints of the joints. The cyclical geometry permits simultaneous measurement of lateral and axial deformations in deployments varying from axially vertical to axially horizontal, as well as improved fit of the array to surrounding surfaces. The field of use includes geotechnical measurements of soil and civil structures.

摘要: A system for uncovering and sealing a narrow trench. The system comprises several subsystems, including a work machine, a frame for providing a seal with the surface to be trenched, a saw blade, a vacuum system, a system for placing product and a resealer. The blade includes rotatable tooth bits, which may be rotated and secured to create a blade for narrower or a wider trench. A removable cover and the blade are easily changeable. A ground engaging surface on the frame is manipulated to maintain a seal with changing ground surfaces. Additionally, the vertical location of the blade within the frame is adjustable to create a deeper or shallower trench.
