5 A three-phase isolating disconnector for use in a high-voltage switchgear arrangement in two gas-filled chambers, separated by a wall, in said arrangement, comprising for each phase a disconnector member extending through the wall and fastened and movable therein, this disconnector member being provided with a disconnector contact in each chamber and comprising two fixed counter disconnector contacts which are connected to other parts of the switchgear arrangement and of which one is disposed in one chamber and the other in the other chamber. The movable disconnector member is brought by rotation from a first position, in which it conductively connects together the two fixed counter disconnector contacts, to a second position in which the conductive connection is broken and in which at least one disconnector contact of the movable disconnector member is connected to an earth contact, and vice versa. The three disconnector members are embodied in the form of rotating shafts which are disposed in one plane and which can be rotated from the outside, each of them being housed in a separate bushing insulator in the wall. The two disconnector contacts of each disconnector member are each fastened to a contact holder around the rotating shaft, each of them extending, transversely in relation thereto, in a plane parallel to the wall and, on rotation from the first to the second position of the disconnector member, moving over a circle sector of 180°.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for moving an element, for instance a movable contact of a switch, from a first to a second position and vice versa and selectively keeping said element in each of said positions, said apparatus comprising an energy buffer (1), for instance a spring, mechanically coupled with said element, which can take two stationary end conditions corresponding with said end positions, and intermediate translation conditions, in which potential energy is transduced into kinetic energy and vice versa, a mass (4) driven by the energy buffer (1), which can be replaced to one of the two end positions corresponding with the end condition of the energy buffer, and means (8, 34, 31) for locking said mass (4) in its end positions. Said locking means consist of a wedge (8) with two wedge portions each decreasing in cross section in opposite directions, which wedge (8) is positioned between a first surface which is moved with said mass (4) and a second surface, rolling balls (34) positioned between the wedge and the second surface, and means (31, 32) for alternately displacing the rolling balls (34) to one of two partial spaces between one of the wedge portions and the second surface in order to press said wedge portion against the first surface by means of said balls (34), so that the mass (4) will be locked.

Safety switch for the selective protection of electrical installations, comprising a self-closing first switching unit (12) and a first actuation device (13) interacting with the latter for undelayed opening of the first switching unit (12) in the case of a short-circuit current, a second switching unit (17) connected in series with the first switching unit (12) and a second actuation device (20) interacting with the second switching unit (17) for delayed opening of the second switching unit (17) in the case of an overload current, and a third actuation device (24) interacting with the second switching unit (17) for delayed opening of the second switching unit (17) in the case of the occurrence of a short-circuit current, which third actuation device (24) is connected to a shunt path (26) which comprises current-limiting means (27) and which bridges at least the first switching unit (12). Because the first switching unit (12) is provided with delay means (28) for keeping said first switching unit (12) open for an adjustable period of time, the switch-selective action of the safety switch can be accurately set.
