A contact member (71) is provided directly under the horn. The contact member is pressed against inflated film (18) of the gas compartment, and in this state ultrasonic vibration energy is supplied to the horn.

After the bag has been filled with its filling material, a pressurized inert gas is blown from the gas inlet into the gas channel and then through the gas channel into the bag, thus replacing the air inside the bag with the inert gas. After this gas replacement, the gas inlet is sealed, and the bag mouth is also sealed.

The second transport mechanism (21, 22) receives the bags from the first transport mechanisms (4, 5), transports them, and rotates the bags to orient bag surfaces in the feed direction of the feed conveyor (39). The third transport mechanisms (35) receives the bags from the second transport mechanisms (21, 22), changes their attitude to a horizontal attitude, and places them on the feed conveyor (39) with the bag mouths oriented in the feed direction.
