摘要： Attenuated respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and vaccine compositions thereof are produced by introducing specific mutations associated with attenuating phenotypes into wild-type or RSV which is incompletely attenuated by cold-passage or introduction of mutations which produce virus having a temperature sensitive (ts) or cold adapted (ca) phenotype. Alternatively, recombinant RSV and vaccine compositions thereof incorporate attenuating and other mutations specifying desired structural and or phenotypic characteristics in an infectious RSV. Recombinant RSV incorporate desired mutations specified by insertion, deletion, substitution or rearrangement of a selected nucleotide sequence, gene, or gene segment in an infectious RSV clone. The immune system of an individual is stimulated to induce protection against natural RSV infection, or multivalently against infection by RSV and another pathogen, such as PlV, by administration of attenuated, biologically derived or recombinant RSV.

摘要： A single lever valve for mixing hot and cold liquids has a mixer which can internally impose an upper limit on the temperature of any liquid emerging from it. The means used may enable the upper limit to be changed by exchange of a component so that the mixer can be used in any location in an installation even though different locations might have different upper limit requirements. 摘要： A tension indicator comprises a housing (1) mountable on a strap S which passes through mouths (5) and (6) of the housing. Within the housing, a barrel (11) is rotatably mounted upon a transverse axis (A). The barrel has a cross-passage (12) for strap (S). Towards its ends barrel (11) has discs (14), carrying slot (15) defining formations (16). The slots engage springs (21). The arrangement is such that in the relaxed state of the springs, barrel passage (12) is out of alignment with mouths (5) and (6), so that a strap (S) passing through the tension indictor is deflected to a lazy Z path . The housing has a window (23), through which barrel (11) can be seen. When springs (21) are relaxed, a “SLACK” portion (24) of barrel (11) can be seen through window (23). When strap (S) is tensioned it is straightened by abutting on ends (25) of passage (12). A different “TENSIONED” portion (26) of barrel (11) now becomes visible in window (23). Thus the tension is strap (S) can be assessed according to which of the portions (24) and (26) is visible in window (23).
