摘要： A liquid coating applicator for use with a plurality of adjacent basins (28,30) separated by a partition (26) includes a support having a handle portion, a first liquid applying medium (42) coupled to the support and having a first applicating surface extending in a plane and a second liquid applying medium (44) coupled to the support and having a second applicating surface extending in the plane. The first and second liquid applying mediums (42,44) are spaced from one another so as to form a slot (48) therebetween. The slot (48) is configured to receive the partition (26) such that the first and second applicating surfaces of the first and second mediums (42,44) may be simultaneously received within the first and second basins (28,30) to load the first and second mediums with different liquid coatings.

摘要： The present invention comprises an applicator for coatings such as paints, stains, varnish, and other such materials. The applicator may be a brush, foam, or other applicator as conventionally used for such materials. According to the present invention, the handle of the applicator is adapted to be received in the hand of a user when the h and is in a substantially relaxed posture, and supports the hand in the posture. The handle of an applicator made according to the present invention also may include visual or other aids to promote the use of a relaxed hand posture to hold the applicator.

摘要： Disclosed is a spring motor and control for use especially with window blinds. The motor comprises a storage drum having a first axis, an output drum mounted for rotation about a second axis parallel to and spaced from the first axis. A spring member is connected to and between the storage drum and the output drum to form a spring motor. The spring motor has laterally extending, spaced apart drum supports on opposite sides of the drums to support them for rotation. A coupled drive is connected to the storage and output drum whereby rotation of one of the drums in a first direction about its axis effects rotation of the other of the drums about its axis and in an opposite direction to cause winding and unwinding of the spring member between the drums. A drive actuator is connected to the coupled drive to effect rotation of the drums, and an adjustable friction member is engageable with one of the coupled drive and the drive actuator to adjustably alter the force necessary to effect movement of the coupled drive.

摘要： A cordless, balanced venetian blind or shade with a constant, or a variable force spring motor (40) includes conventional window covering components without the outside hanging lifting cords or cord locking mechanisms. One or more spring motors are employed. A cord spool (30), in the preferred embodiment, is coupled to one of the spring drums (20) to serve to wind the cords (52) to cause the blind to be raised or lowered, simply by manipulation of the bottom bar of the blind system. Due to the spring forces, the system compensates for the increasing weight on the cords as the window covering is raised and for the decreasing weight as it is lowered.

摘要： A venetian blind slat (10) or coil of venetian blind slat substrate (11), such as aluminum, is first coated with a conductive primer (12). An anti-static conductive coating (14) is applied thereover. The resultant coated finished blind slat (10) and its associated spaced horizontal slats have sufficient conductivity to resist airborne dust particle accumulation with reductions in dust accumulation of from 36% to about 82% being attained, as compared to colored paint insulative coating on standard venetian blinds. An inorganic, inert conductive additive such as stannous oxide is employed in the anti-static conductive coating (14), resulting in coating conductivities of less than 10⁶ ohms per square and, in a preferred embodiment, from about 10 ohms per square to 10⁵ ohms per square.
