    摘要: To provide an air cleaner which, even when the air cleaner employs a cleaning function for which there is the potential for the exhibition efficiency of the function to be reduced by contaminants in the air, is capable of stabilizing the exhibition of that function. A body portion (2) includes suction openings (13, 14) and a blowout opening (12). A main air flow path interconnects the suction openings (13, 14) and the blowout opening (12). An air cleaning unit (40) is disposed on the main air flow path and cleans the air that passes therethrough. A bypass air flow path bypasses a space on the suction openings side of the air cleaning unit (40) and a space on the blowout opening side of the air cleaning unit (40) in the main air flow path. A streamer discharge unit (63) is disposed in the bypass air flow path and generates active species. A blowing fan (31) is disposed inside the body portion (2) and is driven to rotate, whereby the blowing fan forms a main air flow (F1) that leads from the suction openings (13, 14) to the blowout opening (12) in the main air flow path and a bypass air flow (F2) that leads from a space on the blowout opening (12) side to a space on the suction openings (13, 14) side in the bypass air flow path.

    摘要: A filter assembly (100) and a filtration system (10) for removing particulate matter from a stream of gas or other fluid are presented. The system includes a housing (20) that is divided into a first plenum (30) and a second plenum (40) by a tube sheet (50). The tube sheet (50) is substantially planar, and a plurality of apertures (90) extend through the sheet (50). The tube sheet (50) supports a plurality of filter assemblies (100). A filter assembly (100) includes a pre-collector body component (130) that is coupled to an end of a filter element (120) and that is electrically coupled to a first electric potential. The system (10) also includes a discharge electrode (160) that is coupled to a second electric potential. In operation, at least a portion of the particulate laden gas will pass adjacent to the pre-collector body component (130) and discharge electrode (160) before entering the filter element (120). When the gas passes the pre-collector body components (130) and discharge electrodes (160), the difference in electric potential between the body component (130) and the discharge electrode (160) causes at least a portion of the particulate matter to gather at the body components (130) thereby decreasing the amount of particles presented to the filter element.

    摘要: An air cleaning device (1) for separating airborne particles from a flow of air (10) is provided. The air cleaning device comprises a separating unit (6) and an ionizing unit (3) arranged to charge airborne particles present in the flow of air and transmit at least a major part of the charged particles towards the separating unit. The ionizing unit comprises at least one collector electrode (5) and at least one emitter electrode (4). The separating unit is arranged to attract at least some of the charged particles so as to separate them from the flow of air. Further, the at least one collector electrode is shaped so as to conduct at least a portion of the flow of air and has a spherically curved inner surface (15) and the emitter electrode is centered with respect to the spherically curved inner surface of the collector electrode. The present aspect is advantageous in that the air cleaning efficiency of the air cleaning device is improved.
