    摘要： An image forming apparatus that has improved usability, while maintaining good positional relationship of units detachably installed inside the apparatus body. The image forming apparatus comprises a plurality of rotatable image carriers (12), each incorporated in a respective image producing unit, and an intermediate transfer unit comprising an intermediate transfer body (31) which is installed between a plurality of roller members (32,33,34,35) and to which transfer toner images formed on each image carrier are transferred. The shaft of each image carrier (10a) and the shaft of each roller (32a) are disposed on a positioning plate (100), and the each image carrier and the intermediate transfer body are fixed in normal positions by applying pressure independently to each shaft.

    摘要： The image forming apparatus includes a paper deli­very section (4) for guiding paper (P) to a space be­tween a photoreceptor (31) and a transferring corona discharger (34), the paper (P) being guided as turned over after having passed between a pair of arcuate re­versing guides (44a), (44b). A portion of the paper delivery section (4) is formed as a unit (U) which can be integrally pulled out from the body (1) of the ap­paratus. The apparatus further includes guide lifting and lowering means (B) adapted to retreat downward the inner reversing guide (44a) out of the pair of reversing guides (44a), (44b) in association with a unit (U) pulling operation, and adapted to lift up the inner reversing guide (44a) in association with a unit (U) insertion operation. Accordingly, when the unit (U) is inserted in and pulled out from the apparatus body (1), the guide lifting and lowering means (B) vertically moves the inner reversing guide (44a), thus preventing the inner reversing guide (44a) from coming into colli­sion with the photoreceptor (31). The pair of reversing guides (44a), (44b) may be widely opened, facilitating a jam processing therebetween.
