摘要:
1,1,1-Trifluoro-2,2-dichloroethane is reacted with metallic copper and an amine to give 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene, which is further reacted with hydrogen to give 1,1,1,4,4,4,-hexafluorobutane. This process facilitates the production of not only 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluorobutane which is used as a refrigerant, blowing agent or cleaning agent and contributes to the environmental protection, but also 1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene which is useful as an intermediate for the above butane and as a monomer of a fluoropolymer in a high yield.

Halocarbons such as CCl2F2, CF3CFHCl or CF3CFCl2 which contain chlorine and/or bromine are contacted with hydrogen in the presence of silicon carbide and/or a metal selected from aluminum, molybdenum, titanium, nickel, iron or cobalt (or their alloys) at temperatures of 350° to 700 °C and pressures of 0 to 1000 psig to obtain a product wherein at least one chlorine or bromine in the starting material has been replaced by hydrogen.

A process for producing 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane which comprises hydrogenating 1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoro-1-chloropropene with hydrogen in vapor phase in the presence of a noble metal catalyst. This process serves to produce readily at a low cost 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane, which is useful and does not cause environmental destruction (i.e. is capable of environmental protection), from an inexpensive starting material in one stage.

A process for producing 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane which comprises dechlorofluorinating 1,1,2,2-pentafluoro-3,3-dichloropropane and/or 1,1,2,2,3-pentafluoro-1,3-dichloropropane with hydrogen in the presence of a metal oxide catalyst, and fluorinating the resultant olefin in the presence of a catalyst. This process serves to produce readily at a low cost 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane, which is useful as a working fluid and is capable of environmental protection, and an intermediate for the preparation thereof.
摘要:
A process for producing 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropene in a high yield from a readily available 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane industrially at a low cost, which process comprises bringing the gaseous hexafluoropropane into contact with active carbon optionally containing a metallic salt to effect dehydrofluorination. A process for producing 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane at a high conversion and a high selectivity, which comprises reducing 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropene with hydrogen in the presence of either a hydrogenation catalyst comprising palladium and, added thereto, one or more metals selected from among silver, copper, gold, tellurium, zinc, chromium, molybdenum and thallium, or a rhodium catalyst.
