    摘要: Methods and devices provide a gesture activated file sharing functionality enabling users to share files with other nearby computing devices. The file sharing functionality may include establishing wireless links with nearby devices and determine their relative locations. The computing device may detect a file sharing motion of the computing device from accelerometers and transmit files to or request files from a nearby device in response. Base on motion parameters, e.g., direction, speed and/or shape, the computing device may identify a targeted device to which a file may be transmitted or from which a file may be requested. The computing device may request user verification of the identified device and send a request to transmit files to the targeted device. The computing devices may transmit files using networks and addresses provided over the device-to-device communication links.

    摘要: System and methods may allow an operator of a signal measurement instrument to characterize and calibrate a network with unsupported connector types, e.g., not traceable to known standards. Adapters having supported and unsupported interfaces can be used to measure the system responses of networks in a system under test. These measurements can be mathematically cascaded to deduce virtual models that produce an accurate and fully calibrated total system response.

    摘要: Embodiments of the invention include methods, apparatuses, and systems for automatically identifying a synchronization sub-pattern associated with a test pattern. A test and measurement instrument is triggered in response to a first instance of a trigger pattern in a data stream. A trigger-to-trigger counter begins counting at the time of the first trigger event. The test and measurement instrument is again triggered in response to a second instance of the trigger pattern in the data stream. The count is ended at this time. The count is then compared to a predefined length of the test pattern, and if equal, it is automatically determined that the trigger pattern is the unique synchronization sub-pattern associated with the test pattern.

The oscilloscope is configured to process a first signal (102) in a first domain (106, 108, 110, 112) and a second signal (152) in a second domain (156, 158, 160, 162). The method includes choosing (104, 154) a different domain for processing each of the first and second signals, respectively. A desired trigger type is selected for one of the chosen domains. The first and second signals are acquired in response to an occurrence of a trigger of the selected trigger type. The first and second signals are processed according to the selected different chosen domains. The method may also include displaying a result of said processing on a display screen.

    摘要: A probing tip (10) for a signal acquisition probe has a non-conductive substrate (12) compatible with thin or thick film processing having opposing planar surfaces (14, 16) and side surfaces (18) with two of the side surfaces converging to a point. A contoured probing tip contact (24) is formed at the converging point on the non-conductive substrate with the probing tip contact having first and second intersecting arcuate surface (26, 28). Electrically conductive material is deposited on the contoured probing tip contact using thin or thick film processing for providing electrical contact to test points on a device under test. A resistive element (30) is formed on the non-conductive substrate using thin film processing that is electrically coupled to the probing tip contact and to an input of an amplifier formed on an integrated circuit die (36) mounted on the non-conductive substrate. The output of the amplifier is coupled to a transmission structure (70) formed on a second non-conductive substrate (58).
