In general, a liquid filter cartridge is provided which includes features that help ensure that when the assembly is serviced, the cartridge positioned within the assembly is a proper one, in proper sealing orientation, for appropriate use. Features that can be used to provide for this include: a seal on the filter cartridge that defines a seal pattern non-orthogonal to a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the filter cartridge; and, a member of a projection/receiver arrangement on the filter cartridge which is orientated to engage a portion of a liquid filter assembly, for example a liquid flow collar, to allow sealing when the cartridge is a properly positioned cartridge and a properly configured cartridge. Assembly features are described. Also, a flexible radial projection arrangement providing snap-fit interaction between a cartridge and housing is provided. Methods of assembly and use as described.

    摘要： An air intake arrangement for an air intake system for an engine includes a first pre-cleaner arrangement having a housing with an air flow inlet to receive air to be pre-cleaned. A pre-cleaner region is constructed and arranged to remove at least some particulate from the inlet air. The first pre-cleaner arrangement further includes a vacuum flow path and a drop tube flow path. The vacuum flow path is in air flow communication with a first vacuum source to selectively put a vacuum draw through the pre-cleaner region. The drop tube flow path is in air flow communication with a drop tube to eject particulate removed from the inlet air by the pre-cleaner region.

    摘要： An air filter element includes a filter arrangement, an elbow, and a filter element seal member. The filter arrangement includes a filter media pack having a dirty air inlet and a clean air outlet, wherein air flowing through the clean air outlet flows in a first axial direction and the clean air outlet defines a filter arrangement cross sectional area. The elbow has a first end constructed to extend from the filter arrangement clean air outlet, a second end wherein air flowing through the second end flows in a second axial direction, and an air flow enclosure extending from the elbow first end to the elbow second end. The air flow enclosure includes an air deflector constructed to direct air from the first axial direction to the second axial direction, wherein the second axial direction is different from the first axial direction, and an interior volume between the elbow first end and the elbow second end. The filter element seal member is located on the elbow second end, wherein the filter element seal member is constructed to seal to a clean air intake, the filter element seal member located on the elbow second end defining a seal member cross sectional area. The filter element can be characterized as having a ratio of the seal member cross sectional area to the filter arrangement cross sectional area of at least 0.5. The filter element can have a z-filter media pack for a pleated media pack. The air filter element can be arranged in an air cleaner.
