摘要: The present invention relates to a system for locally precise application of substances to useful areas of farmland and woodland and a corresponding method. The system comprises at least one multiple rotary wing aircraft, which contains at least one electronic control device for controlling the flight movements, which steers the multiple rotary-wing aircraft autonomously on predefined flight paths. The electronic control device contains at least one processing unit, at least one receiver for signals of a global satellite navigation system for position determining and an inertial measurement unit for detecting movement data of the multiple rotary-wing aircraft. The processing unit calculates the data of the receiver according to the method of real-time kinematics with the data of a base station and with the measured data of the inertial measurement unit for improving the accuracy of the position measurement data so that the electronic control device can sufficiently accurately steer the multiple rotary-wing aircraft to apply substances to farmlands.

摘要: Various embodiments include methods for piggybacking an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on a vehicle (e.g., motor vehicles and trailers coupled to motor vehicles) to reach a destination. Various embodiments may include determining whether to dock on a vehicle. One or more candidate vehicles may be identified for docking. Travel profile characteristics of the one or more candidate vehicles may be identified. A first vehicle may be selected from the one or more candidate vehicles based on one or more travel profile characteristics that assist the UAV in reaching the UAV destination. The UAV may dock with the first vehicle. While docked to the first vehicle the UAV may charge an onboard battery via an electrical connection in a docking structure or by harvesting energy in the wind caused by movement of the vehicle by configuring the UAV rotors to charge the battery.

摘要: A solar powered aircraft having segmented wings that can be reconfigured during flight to optimize collection of solar energy are described. The aircraft have rigid construction that is resistant to inclement weather and is configured to rely on free flight control at high altitude and under conventional conditions, thereby providing flight duration in excess of 2 months. The aircraft is particularly suitable for use as part of a telecommunications network. A telecommunications network incorporating such aircraft is also discussed.

The High Speed VTOL aircraft may include at least two thrust producing rotors located equidistant from a longitudinal axis of the aircraft on a main wing, and at least two thrust producing rotors located equidistant from a longitudinal axis of the aircraft on a vertical wing. The rotors may be driven by electric motors. However, other power sources may be used such as combustion or hybrid engines. By adjusting the speed and/or the pitch of the rotors, the aircraft can transition from a vertical flight configuration to a horizontal flight configuration and back.

摘要: The invention relates to a secure wire-based system for a drone. Said system ensures suitable voltage on the wire during normal control of the drone and automatically locks the wire to a maximum length predefined by the user. The locking is in one direction: it locks the unwinding of the wire without preventing the winding thereof. The drone thus moves within a half-sphere, the radius of which is the maximum length defined by the user. The system is made up of a motor (13) and a drum (14) on which a wire (10), having a one-direction locking mechanism, for example (X2), is wound. The system according to the invention makes it possible to limit the possible crashing region in the event of the drone malfunctioning, and is intended in particular for operations on airports or critical populated or industrial regions.
