Compositions are provided comprising aqueous dispersions of polythienothiophenes and colloid-forming polymeric acids. Films from invention compositions are useful as hole injection layers in organic electronic devices, including electroluminescent devices, such as, for example, organic light emitting diodes (OLED) displays, as hole extraction layers in organic optoelectronic devices, such as organic photovoltaic devices, and in combination with metal nanowires or carbon nanotubes in applications such as drain, source, or gate electrodes in thin film field effect transistors.

The invention relates to an aqueous dispersion with a pH-value of between 2 and 7, containing (A) at least one swellable polymer or oligomer with anionic and/or potentially anionic functional groups, (B) a surface-modified, cationically stabilised, inorganic nanoparticle of at least one type, (C) at least one compound selected from the group comprising amphiphiles and organic compounds which are able to form chelating ligands and (D) at least one cross-linking agent. The invention also relates to the production and use thereof in the production of highly scratch-resistant coatings, moulded parts and self-supporting films.

The invention relates to a method for producing aqueous protective colloid-stabilised vinylester homo- and copolymer dispersions with a defined solids content, by emulsion polymerisation in the presence of a protective colloid. The inventive method is characterised in that a dispersion with a solids content lower than the defined solids content is produced and then thickened to the defined solids content after the polymerisation has been completed. The dispersion is thickened by adding a polymer powder which is of the same polymer composition as the emulsion polymerizate and which can be redispersed in water.
Abstract:
A bonding liquid dispersion comprising polyvinyl acetate, mixed stabilisers, a coalescing agent and polyvinyl alcohol which complies with British Standards 5270 and 4071 and is preferably water resistant. This dispersion can be used to strengthen gypsum plaster, cement and wood adhesive compositions and improve water and creep resistance. A process for preparing such a bonding liquid is also described and involves polymerisisng the vinyl acetate in the presence of the mixed stabilisers, and once the polymerisation is substantially complete, adding polyvinyl alcohol and a coalescing agent to the mixture.

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Dispersionspulverzusammensetzung aus a) einem Basispolymerisat aus der Gruppe der Vinylester-Polymerisate, Styrol-Polymerisate, Acrylat-Polymerisate und Vinylchlorid-Polymerisate, b) 2 bis 15 Gew%, bezogen auf das Basispolymerisat, Polyvinylalkohol mit einem Hydrolysegrad von 85 bis 94 Mol% und einer Höppler-Viskosität von 2 bis 25 mPa·s, c) 3 bis 30 Gew%, bezogen auf das Gesamtgewicht polymerer Bestandteile, feinem Antiblockmittel, d) 0.1 bis 2 Gew%, bezogen auf das Basispolymerisat, Entschäumer, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß e) 1 bis 8 Gew%, bezogen auf das Basispolymerisat, eines vollverseiften 1-Alkylvinylester/Vinylester-Copolymeren mit einer Höppler-Viskosität von 1 bis 5 mPa·s enthalten sind. Die erfindungsgemäße Dispersionspulverzusammensetzung eignet sich besonders zum Einsatz in verlaufenden, hydraulisch abbindenden Spachtelmassen. Weitere Einsatzgebiete für die erfindungsgemäße Dispersionspulverzusammensetzung sind die Verwendung in Bauklebern, Mörteln, als Gipszusatz, sowie in Putzen und Dispersionsfarben.

Les dispersions aqueuses de polymères à base de monomères éthyléniques insaturés comprenant au moins un acide carboxylique sont modifiées par addition d'une polyoxyalkylèneamine, comportant par molécule, au moins une fonction amine primaire et/ou secondaire. Les compositions de revêtement contenant les dispersions ont des caractéristiques améliorées notamment en termes de résistance à l'abrasion et à la salissure.

High solids slurry stabilizers are provided which are comprised of an acid-sensitive crosslinked polysaccharide and a water-soluble polymer having repeating units derived from an acrylamidoalkanesulfonic acid or the ammonium salt thereof, e.g. a homopolymer of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid. The stabilizer compositions are effective in providing homogeneous stabilized aqueous slurries of finely divided solids, e.g. zircon flour, without the need for high energy mixing. The invention also provides methods for varying high solid slurries using such stabilizer compositions and high solid slurries comprised of such stabilizer compositions. The invention also provides for high solids slurries comprised of a water-soluble polymer having repeating units derived from the ammonium salt of an acrylamidoalkanesulfonic acid as the sole stabilizer and to methods of preparing such slurries.

An object of the invention is to provide aqueous coating liquids that contain ultrafine inorganic compound particles with good dispersibility, and to provide gas barrier laminates of excellent transparency and gas barrier properties that have a layer formed from the coating liquid. A coating liquid of the invention includes ultrafine inorganic compound particles, a polyester resin, a sodium polycarboxylate and water. A gas barrier laminate of the invention includes a substrate and a gas barrier layer formed on the substrate, wherein the gas barrier layer has a layer (A) formed from the coating liquid and a layer (B) containing a polycarboxylic acid polymer.
