Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Bestimmen des Objektabstands zwischen einem nach dem Triangulationsprinzip arbeitenden optoelektronischen Sensor und einem Objekt, - wobei der Sensor wenigstens einen Meßkanal zwischen einer Sendeeinheit zum Aussenden elektromagnetischer Abtaststrahlen in den Meßbereich und einer Empfangseinheit zum Nachweisen von aus dem Meßbereich reflektierten und/oder remittierten Abtaststrahlen aufweist, - wobei der Sensor zumindest einen Zusatzkanal aufweist, der zusätzlich zu der Sendeeinheit und der Empfangseinheit des Meßkanals eine weitere Sendeeinheit und/oder eine weitere Empfangseinheit aufweist, und - wobei zur Bestimmung des Objektabstands die Empfangssignale des Meßkanals und des Zusatzkanals gemeinsam ausgewertet werden. A distance measuring apparatus is provided which utilizes a light-section method capable of measuring both close objects and far away objects without adjusting the dynamic range of an imaging camera. The apparatus comprises: an image acquisition section (11, 12, 13, 15) for imaging reflected light which has been emitted from the apparatus, has passed through a slit, and has then been reflected off the surface of a target object; an emission control section (14) for controlling the emission time (tow, tew) of the slit light during the time (to, te) an image is being scanned by the image acquisition section, and for changing the intensity of the received light in the image acquisition section; and a distance calculation section (16) for calculating the distance to the object based on the image taken by the image acquisition section and a positional relationship between a light emission position of the slit light and an image position.

The present invention relates to a distance measuring apparatus having an attenuation filter for adjusting luminous energy of a luminous flux incident on light receiving converting means. An object of the present invention is to provide a distance measuring apparatus in which at least a part of the attenuation filter is arranged as deflection means. According to the arrangement of the distance measuring apparatus of the present invention, a light projecting system irradiates a measuring luminous flux toward an object under measurement, a light receiving system receives the reflected luminous flux reflected on the object under measurement and leading the reflected light to light receiving converting means, and a distance from a position at which measurement is carried out to a position at which the object under measurement is located, is measured based on the reflected luminous flux received by the light receiving converting means. An attenuation filter adjusts luminous energy of the luminous flux incident on the light receiving converting means, and at least a part of the attenuation filter is arranged as deflection means.

Each sensor element (16) has a light-sensitive zone (17) in which the radiation is detected as a function of its position. Associated with each sensor element (16) are a multiplicity of storage cells (21) in which the charges detected in the light-sensitive zone (17) of each sensor element (16) are successively stored. The imaging sensor (13) can thus simultaneously detect and demodulate intensity-modulated radiation as a function of its position. The invention makes it possible to determine a range of parameters for the object being examined, thus ensuring that the object is accurately recorded for rangefinding purposes.
