    摘要： A planer comprising a body mounted on a shoe, the shoe having an aperture formed through it; a cutting drum rotatably mounted within a recess formed by a wall within the body, a part of the periphery of the cutting drum 6 projecting through the aperture in the shoe; a motor mounted within the body to rotatingly drive the cutting drum; at least one cutting blade mounted on the periphery of the drum capable of planing a work piece when the drum is rotating; an airflow generator which creates an air flow when the planer is in use within the body for use for entraining debris created by the cutting action of the blade to assist in the removal of the debris; directional means which directs the airflow within the body towards the area where the cutting blades cuts a work piece; wherein an expulsion aperture is formed in the wall of the recess forward of the cutting drum through which any debris created by the cutting action of the blade would be thrown by the rotating blade; and the airflow is directed within the body to a point below the expulsion aperture in the wall of the recess and is directed to be blown across the aperture within the body in a direction having an acute angle to the direction of travel of any debris in order to entrain the debris in the airflow within the body.

    摘要： Die Maschine weist eine drehantreibbare Spindel (4) auf, auf der ein Bearbeitungswerkzeug mit Schneiden sitzt und die quer zu ihrer Achse relativ zu einer Bezugsebene verstellbar ist. Die Schneiden der jeweiligen Bearbeitungswerkzeuge müssen in bezug auf den Maschinentisch, die Anschläge und die Andruckflächen genau eingestellt werden. Dazu ist eine Verstellung der Spindel (4) quer zu ihrer Achse erforderlich. Um die Spindel (4) schnell und genau verstellen zu können, ohne daß ein Probelauf eines Werkstückes (3) nach der Verstellung erforderlich ist, weist die Maschine eine Meßeinrichtung auf, über die die Schneiden des Bearbeitungswerkzeuges in bezug auf die Bezugsebene einstellbar sind. Bei der Maschine und dem Verfahren wird die Meßeinrichtung dazu herangezogen, die Spindelverstellung hochgenau vorzunehmen.

    摘要： An apparatus for adjusting the relative positions of a first component and a second component of a power tool includes a drive rod which interconnects the first and second component. The drive rod has a plurality of external threads in meshing engagement with a plurality of internal threads located on one of the first and second components. An internally threaded element preferably in the form of a backlash nut is also in meshing engagement with the plurality of internal threads. A biasing member is interdisposed between the internally threaded element and one of the first and second component. In a preferred form, the apparatus is incorporated into a power tool for woodworking or metal forming and is operative for eliminating play in the threaded interconnection of the components which is most evidence upon reversal of movement of the drive rod.
