Abstract:
The present invention relates to a clamping device comprising an elongate support structure carrying a fixed jaw and a movable jaw and an advancing clamping mechanism mounted on the support structure for advancing the movable jaw toward the fixed jaw in a longitudinal direction. The clamping device further comprises a transportation mechanism for convenient transportation.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for joining a first housing component (2) to a second housing component (3) by means of welding, the first housing component (2) and the second housing component (3) being respectively formed as hollow bodies with a closed hollow cross-section. The form of the hollow cross-section of the second component (3) corresponds to the form of the hollow cross-section of the first component (2). Said method comprises the following steps: the first housing component (2) with an inner dimension (II) is provided; the second housing component (3) with an outer dimension (A2) is provided, the outer dimension (A2) of the second housing component (2) being smaller than the inner dimension (II) of the first housing component (2); and the second housing component (3) is arranged in the first housing component (2) such that a peripheral gap (6) is formed between an inner wall of the first housing component (2) and an outer wall of the second housing component (3), the region of the gap between the two housing components (2, 3) being a joining region (4). The first housing component (2) is welded to the second housing component (3) in the region of the gap (6) between the first and second housing components (2, 3). The invention also relates to a housing for an injection valve which is produced by said method.
Abstract:
In a fitting (5) for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle seat, with a first fitting part (11), with a second fitting part (12) which is rotatable about an axis (A) relative to the first fitting part (11), and with a ring (13) which keeps the two fitting parts (11, 12) together in the axial direction, as a result of which the fitting (5) forms a disc-shaped unit, wherein an adaptor (21) is provided, said adaptor bearing against the first fitting part (11), in particular in an abutting manner, and, by means of the bearing contact, defining a connecting surface (F) and being connected to the first fitting part (11) and/or the ring (13) by means of a weld seam (23), the weld seam (23) is produced from a direction (S) which runs within the connecting surface (F) or at a shallow angle (φ) to the connecting surface (F).
Abstract:
The invention can be used for repairing or hardening worn-out parts by means of electric-arc deposit or for producing new parts working in conditions of variable dynamic forces associated with increased wear and corrosion. The inventive method consists in producing a coating by electric-arc depositing on at least one section of the part by means of a consumable electrode in such a way that at least one layer is formed. Said layer is formed from predetermined, alternating in at least one direction areas and consists of metals exhibiting different linear expansion factors. At least one area of the layer contains a metal whose linear expansion factor is less than the linear expansion factor of the part base metal. The layer is produced by welding up pre-embodied slots or by applying beads. Said invention makes it possible to increase the performance characteristics of parts by creating pre-designed favourable residual stress fields in a part.
Abstract:
Laser welding procedure for hydraulic cylinders consisting of incorporating, in the area next to the welding station, means to move the machined cylinder tubes and the oil-ports; fitting the cylinder tube, the bottom, the correspondent oil-ports and other accessories; placing the oil-ports on the tubes, and carrying the full set to the area where the machined bottoms are placed with the help of a press; featuring a welding head with water-cooled standard mirrors.
Abstract:
An apparatus for in-line ERW welding of hollow flange steel members in a cold forming mill comprises a seam roll stand (60) rotatably supporting at least one seam roll (68) adapted in use to guide a free edge (34a,34b) of a contoured metal strip (30) into linear alignment with a predetermined weld axis spaced from said free edge on a surface of the metal strip. The apparatus also includes a weld box stand (61) supporting at least one pair of squeeze rolls (84a,84b), in use, adapted to urge the free edge (34a,34b) when heated to a predetermined temperature into fused engagement with a correspondingly heated weld axis on the surface of the strip (30). The squeeze rolls (84a,84b) co-operate to guide the free edge through a predetermined linear trajectory substantially along an incidence axis of a subsequent weld junction between the free edge (34a,34b) and the surface of the metal strip (30) whereby energy imparted to the cold formed member is focussed by a proximity effect along the predetermined weld axis.
Abstract:
The invention relates to components manufactured from heat-resistant steel, in particular tubes such as furnace tubes, which are provided on at least one side with a layer for improving resistance in particular to (catalytic) carbonization and coking. According to the invention, a component manufactured from heat-resistant steel, in particular a tube, is obtained which is provided on at least one side with a layer applied by welding, which layer comprises Ni, Cr and Al; Ni, Cr and Si; or Ni, Cr, Al and Si.
Abstract:
An apparatus (30) and method for forming of a vehicle's driveshaft (32) is provided which makes use of a PMF process. The coil device used in the PMF apparatus is assembled around the shaft from two or more coil sections (40, 41, 43; 42, 44, 45) firmly attached to one another, and which may be disassembled from one another to allow to remove the formed driveshaft (32).
