The position of the vertical axis (22) is adjustable for adjusting the distance between the hoist trolley (4) and the platform (24). As a result, the mast can be anchored in a traditional manner at one of the two facade sections of a building extending from a non-right-angled corner, and the platform can be angled horizontally relative to the hoist trolley so that it extends substantially in parallel with the other facade section of the building.
