This surface protection layer composition includes a silicone-modified (meth)acrylate-based resin having a glass transition point (Tg) of 0°C or less, and a carbonate-modified urethane resin. The surface protection layer composition is used to configure a surface protection layer for protecting: an elastomer base material, or a base material having a Young's modulus of 0.001MPa to -30MPa inclusive; and the surface of the decorative layer which is a cured film of an ink composition formed on the base material. Thus, adhesion to the decorative layer is excellent, and with respect to expansion and contraction of the base material, followability, and damage resistance, and the like, are excellent.

An oil-based ink composition for ink jet recording of the present invention contains a colorant and at least 50% by weight of a mixed solvent made by mixing from 0.02 to 4 parts by weight of a lactone-type solvent with 1 part by weight of polyoxyethylene glycol dialkyl ether represented by the following general formula (1): R 11 -(OC 2 H 4 ) n -OR 12 General Formula (1) (wherein R 11 , R 12 represent alkyl groups having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms and can be the same or different, and n is an integer from 2 to 4). The oil-based ink composition can be suitably used for printing on a polyvinyl chloride substrate and is excellent in all of print quality, printing stability, dry characteristics of printed matter, and storage stability of ink.

Provided are an aqueous inkjet acceptor solution having properties required for aqueous inkjet recording methods, particularly preventing nozzle clogging and having increased storage stability, and an ink set including the acceptor solution. The acceptor solution according to the present invention comprises (A) an organic acid salt having a carbon number of at least 3, (B) an inorganic salt and/or an organic acid salt having a carbon number of 2 or less, (C) a high boiling-point aqueous organic solvent having a boiling point of at least 180°C, and (D) water, wherein component (A) and/or component (B) is a polyvalent metal salt. Component (A) is not particularly restricted but is preferably a carboxylate, and could be a pantothenic acid, propionic acid or lactic acid calcium salt, a magnesium salt, a nickel salt, an aluminium salt, a boron salt or a zinc salt. Component (B) is not also not restricted but is preferably a chloride, a sulphate, a nitrate, a formate or an acetate, or a mixed salt of the same. Component (C) is a polyvalent alcohol, in particular is preferably an alkanediol in which both ends are not simultaneously a hydroxyl group.
