摘要: A bedside unit (1) for providing assistance and/or services to a patient in a bed (2). The unit includes a first vertical tubular shaft (11) fixed to the floor and a second tubular shaft (16) arranged around the first shaft (11) and moveable relative to the first shaft under the action of a height adjustment mechanism (21). The apparatus for providing assistance and/or services includes drawers (25,26), and overbed table (28) and an egress bar (28) which are arranged to be controllably pivotable about the second shaft (16). The unit (1) also includes a patient transfer arm (9) at the top of the first shaft (11) and rotatable thereabout.

摘要: There is described a system for adjusting the height of a patient support surface on a bed, comprising: one or more height adjustment actuators operable to adjust a height of the patient support surface above a floor surface; a controller connected to the one or more height adjustment actuators, the controller including a memory; and one or more user interface units connected to the controller, wherein the controller is configured to record as a stored actuator state a current state of the one or more height adjustment actuators in the memory in response to a first input signal from the one or more interface units, and is configured to operate the one or more height adjustment actuators to automatically return them to the stored actuator state in response to a second input signal from the one or more interface units. Alternatively, or in addition, the controller may be configured to provide an indication to a user when the one or more height adjustment actuators have returned to the stored actuator state during a subsequent height adjustment operation.

摘要: A person-support apparatus (1) having a rectangular support surface (2) and a siderail support member (3, 5) at at least one end of the support surface (2). The siderail support member (3, 5) extends from the support surface (2) to above a support surface (2) and has a first surface adjacent to and alongside the support surface (2). There is a second surface of the siderail support member (3, 5) substantially transverse to the first surface and facing away from the support surface (2) having receiving means (12) for receiving and supporting an end of a siderail assembly (8).
