摘要: A video clock input signal (MCK) is applied to a delay line (30) comprising a cascade connection of a plurality (T1-T19) of delay elements for providing a plurality of delayed clock signals at respective taps (T1-T15) of the delay line. A selection circuit (6), responsive to a horizontal synchronizing signal (HS) supplied thereto, couples a selected one of the taps to an output for providing a delayed output clock signal (YCK) that is edge-aligned with the synchronizing signal (HS). For reducing the number of taps required to provide a given minimum delay step resolution and a given minimum total delay for delay elements which may vary in delay, from one integrated circuit to another, the taps are spaced one element apart for a first group (T1-T13) of the delay elements and are spaced more than one element apart for at least one (T13-T16; T17-T18; T19) second group of the elements.

摘要: A distributed computer system is disclosed which includes a central location (10) and a plurality of remote locations. A central location computer system generates a module (14) which includes a data section (144) containing a plurality of data units. Each of the data units is either a minimum addressable data unit or a longer data unit. Each longer data unit contains a plurality of minimum addressable data units. The module also includes a swap section (146) containing data identifying locations of longer data units within the data section. A remote location computer (70) system receives a module, and contains a loader (40). The loader swaps the minimum addressable data units of the longer data units in the data section. A transmission link (30), transmits the module from the central location computer system to the remote location computer system.

摘要: An economical tuning system for a digital satellite television receiver includes a phase locked loop (PLL) tuning control IC (921) of the type which is normally used in a tuning system of a conventional terrestrial broadcast or cable television receiver to control the frequency of the local oscillator (LO) (911). Unfortunately, the PLL IC (921) is only capable of changing the frequency of the LO (911) in relatively large steps. As a result, the operation of a carrier recovery loop (1111) which demodulates the digitally encoded IF signal produced by the tuner may be interrupted during a fine tuning mode because the carrier recovery loop (1111) may not be able to track frequency changes of the LO (911). To reduce such possibility, the integrator filter associated with the PLL IC (921) is modified to decrease the rate of change of the LO frequency during the fine tuning mode.

摘要: A private stereoscopic display is provided which has only one stereoscopic viewing position and does not show pseudoscopic images in areas outside the viewing position.
On top of the display there is provided a first lenticular lens sheet followed by a prism array sheet and in general by a second lenticular lens sheet. Lens stripes are provided for rows of pixels, consisting normally of two rows of pixels for the left and right image. Two separate side lobes of the light rays generated by the first lenticular lens sheet, the individual lens pixel array arrangement are separated by barriers from each other. Because of those barriers only the main lobe of the light emating from the display is maintained, so that because of the prism array sheet and the second lenticular lens sheet main lobes for the left image are focused in a left image viewing point, whereas main lobes for the right image are focused in a right image viewing point.
