In the field of semiconductor production using shaped charged particle beam lithography, a method and system for fracturing or mask data preparation or proximity effect correction is disclosed, wherein a series of curvilinear character projection shots are determined for a charged particle beam writer system, such that the set of shots can form a continuous track, possibly of varying width, on a surface. A method for forming a continuous track on a surface using a series of curvilinear character projection shots is also disclosed. Methods for manufacturing a reticle and for manufacturing a substrate such as a silicon wafer by forming a continuous track on a surface using a series of curvilinear character projection shots is also disclosed.

Three-dimensional data is provided that is related to both a soft part and a hard part of a hearing aid component into a computer-based system. Additionally, information is entered related to material characteristics for both the soft part and the hard part of the component. A component within the hearing aid shell is placed and moved in a model generated by the system. Forces, stresses, and/or amount of deformation for parts of the component based on the location of the component and at least one of another component and the shell are claculated, and the three-dimensional data model of the shell is revised based upon the calculated degree of deformation, forces, and/or stresses.

The apparatus comprises a digital video camera, a laser light source, and a processor arranged to operate the camera to produce a plurality of images with different exposure times, receive the plurality of images from the camera and process the images to determine a power spectrum and determine perfusion from the power spectrum.

A method and apparatus for converting downhole wireline logging measurements of pressure gradient, formation pressure and temperature into estimates of petroleum fluid PVT properties unaffected by oil-based drilling mud, without the need for retrieving actual petroleum samples from the borehole for laboratory analysis at the surface. The statistical accuracy of the PVT properties of reservoir fluids are enhanced with geochemical information of the fluids expected from a given reservoir.
