摘要: There is disclosed an enhancement composition and a method for its use in a molding process. The enhancement composition is applied to the interior surfaces of the mold cavity used in a molding process such as blow molding, injection molding, thermoforming or rotational molding. The enhancement composition is applied prior to closing of the mold and molding of the plastic article. The enhancement composition comprises a liquid carrier containing up to about 50 weight percent of enhancement solids which comprise a mixture of an enhancement solid such as particles of varied thermoplastic and thermosetting resins, metal flakes, glass beads, carbon, graphite, etc., and a binder solid which can be hydrocarbon resin, wax, rosin or terpene base resin. The invention provides for almost unlimited modification of the surfaces of molded plastic products, offering the plastics fabricator the ability to mold products having very specialized surface properties with a low cost structural polymer, e.g., a product molded of low cost, low density polyethylene having the surface characteristics of Teflon®.

摘要: A set of formation data codes (FRM1), which includes action event codes (AE1, AE2, AE3, AE4) and duration codes (TD1, TD2), is loaded in an automatic player piano (30), and a controller (3a) interprets the action event codes (AE1, AE2, AE3, AE4) for driving the solenoid-operated key actuators (20); since the solenoid-operated key actuators (20) slowly push the associated keys (31a, 31b), the hammers (32) do not reach the strings (33), and any piano tone is not produced; the plungers (38) make the keys (31a, 31b) sunk to different depth so that the keys (31a, 31b) are laid on a artistic pattern; the controller (3a) sequentially changes the artistic pattern, and offers an artistic visual expression to the audience.

摘要: An optical disc recording apparatus can draw an image by radially vibrating a laser beam under stable focus control. A pickup radiates the laser beam onto the optical disc rotated by a spindle motor. A focus servo controller maintains a constant spot diameter of the laser beam on the optical disc by detecting a return light of the laser beam reflected back from the optical disc. An irradiation position controller operates when the pickup opposes a label face of the optical disc for controlling an irradiation trajectory of the laser beam to vibrate in a radial direction of the optical disc while the laser beam runs along circumferential zones defined on a coloring layer of the label face. A modulating section modulates an intensity of the laser beam for forming dots along the circumferential zones so as to draw the image.

摘要: An optical component comprises an optical transmission element (e.g., an optical lens) whose circumferential wall partially joins a metal holder via a joining material (e.g., a low melting point glass), wherein stress is normally applied to the optical transmission element in a compression direction when joining the metal holder. The optical transmission element is inserted into a through hole of the metal holder, and the joining material is kept in a bank actualized by a tapered portion formed in proximity to one end of the through hole of the metal holder. This prevents tensile stress from being applied to the optical transmission element; thus, it is possible to avoid the occurrence of cracks and separations in the optical transmission element; and it is possible to avoid the occurrence of errors in optical characteristics, regardless of variations of the environmental temperature, so that, the optical component is improved in reliability.
