    摘要: Acetals are prepared by reacting monohydric primary or secondary alcohols with acrolein-isocyanuric acid adducts. The acetals are polymerizing and cross-linking agents in preparing polymer compositions of the acetals and polyfunctional compounds containing acetal-reactive groups such as alcohols, thiols, oxiranes and amides. Such polymer compositions are useful in molding, laminating, and adhesive applications.

Reaction of the 3-oxopropyl isocyanurate compositions with alcohols yields hemiacetals and acetals.     摘要: Hot melt adhesive compositions comprising a block copolymer, aluminum powder and glass fiber. The block copolymer is selected from the group consisting of copolyesters, copolyamides, copoly(esteramides) and copoly(ether- esters) melting at a temperature above about 150°C. and having from about 30 to about 70 weight percent of hard segments and from about 70 to about 30 weight percent of soft segments. The weight ratio of block copolymer to aluminum powder and glass fiber is in the range of about 3:7 to about 3:2, the weight ratio of block copolymer to glass fiber is at least about 2:1, and the weight ratio of glass fiber to aluminum powder is at least about 1:9. The compositions are particularly useful for filling voids and cavities in substrates.

    摘要: This invention relates to an improved process for preparing ABS resins wherein an alkadiene rubber is grafted in aqueous emulsion with styrene and nitrile type monomers, forming a grafted rubber, extracting said grafted rubber into a monomer phase and separating said monomer-grafted rubber phase from said aqueous phase followed by mass polymerizing said grafted rubber-monomer phase to form an ABS polyblend, wherein the improvement comprises, carrying out the mass polymerization of said monomers in the presence of sufficient carbon dioxide to provide an ABS resin having a substantially white color.
