The arrangement also comprises a scrubber (10) for cleaning the recirculated exhaust gas before the exhaust gas enters the compressor (4b) of the high-pressure turbocharger(4). The invention also relates to a method for exhaust gas recirculation and turbocharging.

The wear detecting means further comprise means for detecting closing of the electrical circuit. The invention also concerns a method for detecting wear of a bearing surface and use of a bearing arrangement in a turbocharger for an internal combustion engine.
