摘要: A polyphase induction motor (10) is disclosed having two electromagnet arrangements (12, 14), each of the electromagnet arrangements (12, 14) having pole pieces (24, 26) with corresponding polar faces (27). The two electromagnet arrangements (12, 14) are arranged such that the polar faces (27) of the two electromagnet arrangements (12, 14) are in a mirrored facing relationship each other. A gap (66) is therefore defined between the facing polar faces (27) of the electromagnet arrangements (12, 14). A substantially planar ferromagnetic conductor plate (16) is disposed within the gap (66), and rotates about the central axis (68) of the motor (10).

摘要: An electromagnetic actuator (10) is disclosed having a ferromagnetic case (12) and defining a central axis with a slidable core (16) disposed coaxial with the central axis. The core includes first end (20), second end (22) and core (24) portions. The actuator (10) further includes a magnetic flux developing element (18) mounted coaxial with the central axis and first and second ferromagnetic electrical coils (14). The first and second coils (14) are mounted in a facing relationship with the first (20) and second (22) end portions of the core (16). The coils (14) have a cross-sectional length in a direction perpendicular to the central axis and a width of insulating space between the turns of the coils (14) in a direction parallel to the central axis. The length and width are selected such that the reluctance of the width of the insulating space is greater than the reluctance of the cross-sectional length of the coil wire adjacent the insulating space.

摘要: An electromagnetically actuator (10) is disclosed having an electromagnet (12), a core element (16), the core element having a normally biased initial spaced apart first position distal from the electromagnet when the electromagnet is off and a second stop position proximal from the electromagnet when the electromagnet is on, a first resilient member (20) adapted to bias said core element in the normally biased first position, and a second resilient member (50) adapted to bias the electromagnet away from the core. The first resilient member is more resilient than the second resilient member. Therefore, the core approaches the electromagnet when the electromagnet is on until the core reaches the fixed stop position, and the electromagnet subsequently approaches the core to the fixed stop position. The actuator may further include an adjustment member (60) that engages the electromagnet so as to control the pressure of the electromagnet against the second resilient member, whereby the axial position of the electromagnet is controlled.

摘要: An improved electromagnetic actuator (10) includes a first assembly (12), a second assembly (14) disposed for relative movement with respect to the first assembly (12) and at least a first flexure (16) interconnecting the first assembly (12) and the second assembly (14). The first assembly (12) includes a core (20) having a first magnetic pole (26) of a first polarity and a second magnetic pole (30) of a second polarity. The second assembly (14) includes an electrical current conductive coil (38) having a first coil portion (40) and a second coil portion (42). The first magnetic pole (26) is in a facing relationship to the first coil portion (40) and the second magnetic pole (30) is in a facing relationship to the second coil portion (42). The first coil portion (40) and the second coil portion (42) are arranged so that an electrical current in the coil develops added a flux current cross products at each of the first coil portion and the second coil portion (42). One of the first assembly (12) and the second assembly (14) includes a magnetic flux return path (44) between the first coil portion (40) and the second coil portion (42).

摘要: An electromagnetic actuator (50) includes a magnetic flux conductive case (52), an electric coil (54), a magnetic flux conductive material core (56), and a pair of radially polarized magnetic flux developing elements (58, 60). A first region (80) of the core (56) traverses the coil (54) at one end and second region of the core (56) traverses the coil (54) at the other end. A first magnetic element (58) is carried by the first region (80) and a second magnetic element (60) is carried by the second region (82) so that magnetic flux across the coil between the first region (80) and the case (52) is in a first direction, and magnetic flux across the coil between the second region and the case (52) is in a second direction. The coil (54) is arranged so that an electrical current in the coil at one end flows in an opposite direction with respect to the direction of the current at the other end.

摘要: Compressor (50) has electromagnetic actuator (52) for driving the piston (58) in compression cylinder (56). Electromagnetic element (76) has core (77) and coil (80). The core has surface (104) and channel (90). The coil is disposed in the channel. Axially reciprocating armature element (78) is interconnected with the piston, defining an axial stroke having a stroke midpoint and stroke peak. The armature element has surface (94) dimensioned to align with the electromagnet surface at the stroke peak. Primary spring (84) disposed on one end of the armature element biases the armature from axial movement. Secondary spring (86) disposed on the opposing end of the armature element biases the armature from movement in an opposite axial direction. The springs bias the armature to resonate at a pre-determined frequency. Applied current at stroke midpoint continues the resonating frequency, and allows the armture surface to overcome friction losses and compression forces. Two actuators placed back-to-back creates a dual piston compressor.

摘要: On affiche sur l'écran d'un ordinateur une image vidéo de l'article (10) à produire. On crée une ébauche géométrique (12) qui englobe toute l'image vidéo de l'article (10). L'ébauche géométrique (12) fournit une image vidéo d'une pièce composée d'un matériau usinable et de ses cotes indicatives non encore à l'échelle. On choisit dans une bibliothèque (28) concernant les plateaux porte-pièce de machines-outils connus le type exact de plateau (30) qu'il convient d'utiliser pour produire l'article. On superpose chacune des images vidéo de l'article et de l'ébauche géométrique à celle de ce plateau (30). La représentation vidéo du plateau porte-pièce de la machine-outil (30) comporte un cadre, concernant les origines référencées (38), qui correspond à la référence zéro du véritable plateau porte-pièce de la machine-outil. La bibliothèque (28) contient aussi les différents dispositifs de positionnement, de fixation et de support (32, 34, 36) utilisés avec chaque type de plateau de machine-outil et on peut y puiser les symboles représentant ces dispositifs pour les afficher et les positionner sur le terminal en fonction de leur relation de travail avec l'image affichée représentant la pièce. On utilise à nouveau le dispositif d'entrée afin de former une deuxième ébauche géométrique qui englobe toute l'image vidéo de l'article (10), la première ébauche géométrique et tout symbole éventuellement affiché, le tout sur fond de représentation vidéo du plateau (30). La deuxième ébauche géométrique donne une image vidéo d'un sous-plateau présentant la pièce (34), ses cotes indicatives et son emplacement approximatif sur le plateau porte-pièce.
