摘要: Contemporary infection by Helicobacter pylori in a human or other mammal can be detected by detecting H. pylori-specific IgG antibody in saliva, or other mucous secretion, with an antigen preparation from H. pylori. Diagnosis depends on detection of the antigen-antibody complex. For improved reliability, the antigen preparation comprises H. pylori-derived components of about 265 kDa and about 340 kDa and is substantially free of an H. pylori-derived component of about 440 kDa. The antigen preparation may be immobilised onto a solid support such as a nitrocellulose strip.

摘要: An enteral non-adjuvanted vaccine comprises a killed microorganism which infects the vagina. The microorganism may be a fungus, such as Candida albicans, a bacterium, such as Gardnerella vaginalis or Neisseria gonorrhoea, a protozoon, such as Trichomonas vaginalis, or a virus, such as Herpes genitalis. The absence of adjuvant gives a significant improvement in clearance of the microorganisms, compared to adjuvanted compositions.

摘要: Production of an electrosuspension of particles (5), comprising an insulating container (3) fitted with two spaced apart electrodes (2, 4) between which a high electrical potential is applied. At least one of the electrodes (2) is mounted for rotation by an associated electric motor (20). The electrode mounted for rotation preferably has a drum like configuration formed by a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart conductors (6). In a second aspect the invention produces an electrosuspension of micronised particles where one of the electrodes is in contact with a bed of particles and a second electrode is spaced above the particles. Field concentrating conductors are connected with the second electrode to generate ions and irradiate the surface of the particulate material with ions of opposite polarity to the first electrode.

摘要: Afin de produire des électrosuspensions de particules (5), un conteneur isolant (3) est équipé d'au moins deux électrodes espacées (2, 4) entre lesquelles s'applique un potentiel électrique élevé. Des conducteurs concentrateurs de champ sont connectés à la deuxième électrode afin de générer des ions et d'irradier la surface des matériaux particulaires avec des ions ayant une polarité opposée à la première électrode.
