摘要: This document describes techniques and apparatuses for a plastic air-waveguide antenna with conductive particles. The described antenna includes an antenna body made from a resin embedded with conductive particles, a surface of the antenna body that includes a resin layer with no or fewer conductive particles, and a waveguide structure. The waveguide structure can be made from a portion of the surface on which the embedded conductive particles are exposed. The waveguide structure can be molded as part of the antenna body or cut into the antenna body using a laser, which also exposes the conductive particles. If the waveguide is molded as part of the antenna body, the conductive particles can be exposed by an etching process or by using the laser. In this way, the described apparatuses and techniques can reduce weight, improve gain and phase control, improve high-temperature performance, and avoid at least some vapor-deposition plating operations.

摘要: This document describes techniques and systems for stationary object detection and classification based on low-level radar data. Raw electromagnetic signals reflected off stationary objects and received by a radar system may be preprocessed to produce low-level spectrum data in the form of range-Doppler maps that retain all or nearly all the data present in the raw electromagnetic signals. The preprocessing may also filter non-stationary range-Doppler bins. The remaining low-level spectrum data represents stationary objects present in a field-of-view (FOV) of the radar system. The low-level spectrum data representing stationary objects can be fed to an end-to-end deep convolutional detection and classification network that is trained to classify and provide object bounding boxes for the stationary objects. The outputted classifications and bounding boxes related to the stationary objects may be provided to other driving systems to improve their functionality resulting in a safer driving experience.

摘要: The techniques and systems herein enable track association based on azimuth extension and compactness errors. Specifically, first and second tracks comprising respective locations and footprints of respective objects are received. An azimuth distance is determined based on an azimuth extension error that corresponds to azimuth spread between the first and second tracks with respect to a host vehicle. A position distance is also determined based on a compactness error that corresponds to footprint difference between the first and second tracks. Based on the azimuth and position distances, it is established whether the first object and the second object are a common object. By doing so, the system can better determine if the tracks are of the common object when the tracks are extended (e.g., not point targets) and/or partially observed (e.g., the track is not of an entire object).

For example, the subject disclosure provides a computer-implemented method for a driving assistance system of a vehicle. The method further comprises, for each segment of the plurality of segments, encoding the plurality of detection points associated to said segment into a latent feature of said detection point, and determining a fixed feature for said segment based on the latent features of the plurality of detection points. The method further comprises encoding the fixed features of the plurality of segments to obtain a spatial correlation of static detection points among the segments, the spatial correlation of static detection points indicating a characteristic of a driving corridor for the vehicle. The spatial correlation of static detection points is then provided to the driving assistance system.
