The invention relates to a rotary piston machine for compressible media, comprising rotary pistons that are sealed into a common housing and that rotate with one another in a forced manner. Said rotary pistons have a plurality of disc-type sections, which engage in pairs with one another and whose thickness and/or diameter reduces towards the pressure side. Each disc has an outer surface (M1, m1) and an inner surface (K1", k1"), respectively connected by an intermediate surface (Z1"), the sector angle of the outer surface and the inner surface of each disc being unequal. The discs have different transverse profile contours, which are periodically repeated along the piston axis and each disc is offset at an angle to the two neighbouring discs of the same piston in such a way that said three discs have a common surface section and form a chamber.

Prior art multithread twin delivery screws comprise point-symmetric profiles, small inclines, and very large angles of wrap and, due to the residual blow-hole losses between the working cells, have to be operated in a high-speed manner. Prior art single-thread embodiments seal-off work cells without the use of blow-hole connections and produce a good vacuum and a good level of efficiency when operated at average and low rotational speeds, but have a tendency to produce unwanted bending vibrations at high rotational speeds. Due to geometric reasons, it is not possible to provide an effective inner cooling for any of these embodiments. The invention eliminates this deficiency and combines the advantages of both aforementioned embodiments. The invention provides a uniform solution for a broad range of rotational speeds by using delivery screws (1, 2) which are not point-symmetric and which comprises multithread front profiles with a centrical center-of-gravity. Delivery screws of this type function without blow-hole losses, are also suited for high-speed operation by virtue of the centrical center-of-gravity, and, due to the lack of balancing cavities with average inclines, can be equipped with channels for inner cooling. These favorable adaptations possibilities with regard to process control permit the invention to be used in the fields of medicine, chemicals and semiconductor technology.

The invention relates to a pump housing (2) comprising a dual-wall casing (3) which enables a first fluid (4) to flow at least partially around a compression chamber (5) for compressing a second fluid (6), said compression being performed with at least two elongated rotors (7, 8). The dual-wall casing (3) comprises: (i) a first wall (10) which defines the volume of the compression chamber (5), and (ii) a second wall (11) which extends around the first wall (10) at a distance (12) from same such as to enable the first fluid (4) to flow therethrough. The pump housing (2) consists of two subassemblies (13, 14), namely a first subassembly (13) and a second subassembly (14), which are assembled along a sealing surface (15) that is essentially orthogonal to the longitudinal axes (70, 80) of the rotors (7, 8). Both the first subassembly (13) and the second subassembly (14) are characterised in that they consist of a rigid element (16) which is moulded from a first thermally-conductive material and which comprise two opposing faces, namely a first face (18) and a second face (19). According to the invention, the above-mentioned first wall (10), which is moulded with the rigid element (16), is disposed beyond the first face (18) such as to extend essentially orthogonally thereto, while the second wall (11) is also disposed beyond the first face (18) such as to extend essentially orthogonally thereto, but in parallel to a fourth face (21) of the first wall (10) without being joined to same. In addition, cut-outs (23) are recessed into the first face (18) such that each cut-out forms at least one housing for a first member (9) that is used to guide the rotation of one of the opposing ends (71, 72, 81, 82) of one of the rotors (7, 8).
