A specially-faceted (39) near-elliptical reflector (15) cooperates with a gate aperture (31) and a single aspheric lens to produce a beam that incorporates a very high proportion of emitted visible light, while the reflector has a dichroic coating that reflects only a low proportion of infrared light. The projected beam thereby has a relatively low energy density, such that the front portion (27) of the fixture can be reduced substantially in size and weight. The gate is selectively rotatable relative to the fixture's rear housing (17).

摘要: A plug-in dimmer module (13) for providing controlled power to one or more lighting fixtures or groups of fixtures. The dimmer module (13) includes a housing (23) with one or more circuit breakers (25a, 25b) located at one end, a power device (29) with one or more dimmer circuits located at an opposite end, and one or more toroidal chokes (27a, 27b) located in a middle section. The power device (29) includes built-in contacts (45a, 45b, 47) for output power to the lighting fixture(s) and for control and sensor signals, and the dimmer module (13) is adapted to plug directly into a slot in a rack (11), to engage the contacts. The components of the dimmer module (13) are laid out efficiently within the housing (23), with minimal wastage of space and without the need for extraneous electrical conductors.

摘要: A zoomable beamspreader (13) is disclosed having two lenses (21, 23) arranged in closely spaced, confronting relationship, with each lens incorporating an array of alternating positive and negative lens segments. One of the two lenses (21, 23) is controllably movable relative to the other, in a direction substantially perpendicular to an optical axis, between a non-spread position, in which the positive and negative lens segments of one lens are aligned with the respective negative and positive lens segments of the other lens, and a spread position, in which the positive and negative lens segments of one lens are aligned with respective positive and negative lens segments of the other lens. The two lenses (21, 23) can take any of several alternative forms, including a one-dimensional array of cylindrical lens segments, for providing a zoomable beamspread along just one dimension, and a two-dimensional array of spheric or aspheric lens segments, for providing a zoomable beamspread along both dimensions.
