    摘要: The present invention relates to a protective casing (10) for a thin-film lead paddle (102) of a surgical lead (100), the thin-film lead paddle (102) being connected to a lead cable (104) through an interconnection portion (106), the protective casing (10) comprising:
    a housing (12) formed by a first part (20) and at least a second part (30), the housing (12) being configured and adapted to enclose at least a part of the thin-film lead paddle (102) of the surgical lead (100),
    wherein each of the first and second parts (20, 30) includes a first surface (22, 32) and a second surface (24, 34), the second surfaces (24, 34) of the first and second detachable parts (20, 30) being at least partially in contact to one another and/or in contact with the thin-film lead paddle (102) when the first and second detachable parts (20, 30) are held in place to form the housing (12).
    Furthermore, the present invention relates to a system with such a protective casing (10) and a method for sterilizing a surgical lead (100) comprising a thin-film lead paddle (102) by using such a protective casing (10).
