The method for preparing spherical silica aerogel granules, which is suitable for mass production because droplets of a water glass solution are uniformly dispersed with a uniform size in a non-aqueous solvent using a surfactant in a certain step to reduce a process time and enhance productivity, may be provided. The spherical silica aerogel granules having a uniform size prepared by the method may be provided, wherein the spherical silica aerogel granules have a high working property and excellent flowability.

The polyimide according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: silica having pores; and a fluorinated alkyl chain attached to the surface of the silica having pores, and is prepared by mixing a dispersion solution comprising the silica having pores and an organic solution comprising a polyimide precursor. Accordingly, hygroscopicity is reduced, and dispersibility can be enhanced.

The present invention relates to a method of preparing ultra-pure silicon carbide in which a super-porous spherical silica aerogel is used as a silica raw material, wherein a reaction area with respect to a carbon raw material is increased to enable low-temperature synthesis of silicon carbide, the size and shape of silicon carbide powder may be uniformly controlled to prepare ultra-pure silicon carbide, economic efficiency and productivity of the silicon carbide synthesis may be improved by preparing the silica aerogel particles using low-cost water glass, and thus, it is expected that the silicon carbide powder prepared by the preparation method of the present invention may be provided as an optimized raw material for the preparation of silicon carbide sintered body and single crystal (ingot).

The present invention provides: an aerogel-containing composition containing an aerogel, a water-soluble binder, a foaming agent and, as a solvent, a mixture of water and a polar organic solvent; and a heat insulation blanket prepared by using the same. The aerogel is uniformly dispersed in the aerogel-containing composition, and thus a heat insulation blanket with flexibility and having a low thermal conductivity and a low density can be prepared without worry about the shrinkage of a substrate for blankets and the separation of the aerogel during a drying step when preparing a blanket.
