An apparatus for dividing substantially parallelepipedic bodies (14, 15) of only partially cured aerated concrete into smaller pieces comprises cutting means (47) for cutting the bodies along horizontal cutting planes into substantially parallelepipedic pieces (16, 17) having a thickness which is substantially smaller than the original height of the bodies while the bodies rest on horizontal supports (10, 11). Each of these pieces can be lifted from the remaining part of a respective body (14, 15) and transferred to a further support (19) arranged in a stacking station (18), by means of a transport means (48) which exerts a suction force to the upper side of the pieces, which pieces are placed one on top of the other in the stacking station, to form a stack (20) intended for insertion into a final-curing station. The apparatus comprises two cutting stations (12, 13) with associated cutting means (47) for dividing a respective aerated concrete body (14, 15), the cutting stations being located adjacent to and on each side of the further support (19). Each of the cutting stations (12, 13) is coordinated with a respective transport means (48) for moving the pieces (16, 17) from respective cutting stations to the further support, which is common to both cutting stations.

A reinforcing cage for moulding artificial stone materials, particularly light-weight aerated concrete, comprising a first group of elongated, mutually parallel reinforcing irons (1) intended to reinforce the upper edge or side surface of a slab moulded from the artificial stone material, and a second group of elongated, mutually parallel reinforcing irons (2) intended for reinforcing the bottom edge or surface of the same slab, the groups of reinforcing irons being held together by transverse stirrup-like devices (3, 4). Such slabs are primarily used in the construction of ceiling structures and beams, joists, etc., in various kinds of building constructions. In accordance with the invention, the legs (5, 6) of the transverse stirrups incorporated in a reinforcing cage or the like of the aforesaid kind are held in a sprung state, i.e. against the action of a spring restoring force, with the aid of hooked cross-connectors (8) or like devices. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the reinforcing cage.

There is proposed a method for producing a multi-layer building element comprising a relatively thick slab-like part (4) having a first density, and a relatively thin slab-like part (1, 6) having a second density arraged on one or both sides of the relatively thick slab-like part (4) having said first density, the second density being higher than the first density. The slabs comprise a form-stable, but still uncured aerated concrete cut from one or more porous blocks of uncured aerated concrete and are lifted with the aid of suction and lifting means and moved to a support means (2), where they are stacked completely or partially one upon the other in a sequence corresponding to the desired structure of the building element to be formed. The slab layers are bonded together with a mass (3, 10) containing a hydraulic binder arranged in layers between the superposed slabs. Subsequent to forming a sandwich building element in this way, the element is charged to an autoclave and steam-cured therein.

Ces dalles sont utilisées principalement dans la construction de structures de plafond et de poutres, solives, etc., dans différents types de bâtiment. Selon l'invention, les jambes (5, 6) des étriers transversaux incorporées dans une cage d'armature ou analogue du type ci-décrit sont maintenues dans un état de tension, c'est-à-dire contre l'action d'une force de rappel élastique, à l'aide de connecteurs transversaux à crochet (8) ou de dispositifs analogues. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de fabrication de la cage d'armature.
